 How long have you been waiting to find an appropriate place to post that picture?

obviously a long long time:lol:

 posted it on MUD Chat before in some cowbell thread :hillbilly:

took it in 2008 - on a Switzerland trip with my siblings and mother that we had given her for her 80th birthday present - 4 people in two convertibles, weather was excellent, had the tops down all the time, had a grand time :steer: :steer:

my brother is big into steamships (you see some in the background), so we rode them as much as possible - this was at a festival in celebration of the 80th birthday of the "Stadt Luzern" ship on Lake Lucerne

I was trying to get him in for a ride on a Mississippi steam ship when Congress effed it all up a few years ago

I have some sheets of black HDPE in 1/2". I plan to do a 1/2" body lift, if needed, 1".
Plan to adjust turn stops a little, trim plastic, use hammer, cut off and weld little section at the rear of the front wheel wells if needed.

Don't forget about Brad (TinCan) over in Hammond. I believe he is a tire dealer also.

Brad's pricing is close to the same as the pricing i can get through my Dads wholesalers.
When i bought my BFGs they were only about 20 bucks or so cheaper than online.

Here is why i bought my tires today from Discount Tire Direct
They will match any prices (but keep in mind that they offer free shipping, most other places, shipping 5 big tires is 100-300 bucks) Onlinetires.com, the place you mentioned Lee, shipping was going to be nearly 400 dollars.

$50 discount to FJCForum members

Tire warranty was 40 dollars a tire. Its good from the date of purchase until 2/32s" of an inch is left and it is non-prorated and covers on-offroad damage. He said that on the first few uses of the warranty they will replace and ship for free on a "good faith" basis. As in you don't even need to ship it back to them (which would costs you upwards of 40 bucks or so with a tire this big). He said that if it starts getting obsessive or thinks a customer is trying to abuse the warranty, that they ask you to bring it to a reputable tire shop and have an employee inspect the tire and let them speak to the tech. Oh, and since i was buying 5 tires, he only charge me for 4 warranties.

Remember Layton, I ordered from DTD. I think they truly care for their customers. I just used online tires as a way to get things cheaper. My dad buys tires from DTD monthly.

When you asked if they would match the price did they include shipping costs as well from onlinetire?

It's about **** time!

Trasharoo just showed up too. For something with just two clips it sure was a PIA to install. I have zero room between my rear door and my spare tire so it was not fun trying to get everything lined up and properly tightened. Anyone else have that problem with the FJC or is it just my tires?

Cross the straps. It's REALLY easy. Buckle the straps making an "x" then slip over the top of the tire. Keeping the straps looser will make it easier. I can give you photos tonight if you need.

Yeah, I got the crossing the strap part but in order to have the Trasharoo centered on my tire it caused the buckles and strap adjusters to fall directly at the back of my tire underneath the tire mount between the tire and the rear door which is almost impossible to fit a hand back there to tighten them. It's on there pretty good right now from sliding it up and down to get to the strap adjusters but it wasn't quite the two click instal I was expecting. :p
