Cruisers been in the garage since it's been back from Moab. Currently getting a makeover. Rustoleum Professional in safety blue up top. That stuff lays down nice for spray paint. Got some Monstaliner to do the lower half of the truck. Also, since I had some overheating on a hot day on a slow trail, figured I'd throw some vents on the hood. Gotta check the back side still, but this is the layout I'm looking at. I'm also debating hydro assist. Because it's already a pain with 35s and 37s are inevitable.

AWESOME!!!

... and 37s are inevitable.

AWESOME!!!!!!

I asked myself why I waited so long to do hydro-assist. It has been like power steering part 2. I added a medium sized cooler and a filtered reservoir for extra volume and couldn't be happier.

Travis, you ever do anything with the quickfists you ordered? Going to put your roof rack back on? You never broke any antennas when you had the roof rack...

Nah... been doing a bunch of house stuff lately. Repairing our fence, painting the kids bathroom, planting seed...........

Finished putting the 80 back together last weekend. Still need to paint and reinstall the grill, but I'm kind of looking at that area for a newer, higher winch mount. Got some serious death wobble going on in the front end as well. I know I jacked up some of the wheel weights, but I think there may be something else going on, so I'm going to recheck all the wheel bearings, etc. Going to try to pick up a used steering box as well. Think mines getting a bit tired, and I can always go ahead and tap that for hydro if I want to.

Looking good man.

Death wobble sucks! Are your tie rods worn? Check your toe in/out with a tape measure too. Everyone on the planet will tell you to have your toe set 1/4 inch toe in or dead straight. That never worked for my 4runner with 37's. bad death wobble. I always had to be 1/4 toe out-- then it was perfect. Get that thing back out on the trail!

Looks great man. Really like how she turned out.

THe truck looks killer!

I'm pretty sure you said somewhere that you already did it, but if not, make sure you get the castor corrected. It's next on my list. I don't ha ve death wobble, but its pretty twitchy. My steering box isnt great, either. Im not sure you will find a tight used one, but some people have posted on 'mud about successful rebuilds.

Keep up the great work!

I'm going through the front end right now. Making sure that everything's tight. Hopefully I'll get it situated and have it back on the road. Plan on getting it done tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

I'll keep that in mind when I get the alignment done about dead straight or toe out. Thanks for the tip!

Finally finished the book shelves I've been working on. The two front ones roll on tracks.

Yes, I have alot of books.

Daaaaang... Eric's got skills! :)

Note the fuzzy cell phone pic obscuring the details :) I'm pretty happy with it, but the finish isn't all it could be. I'm not sold on the water based polyurethane, but it sure smells alot less.

Cool. You feel like building me a set-up like that for my CD's. :D

That's alot of CDs!
