I am planning on going fishing as well. I only crank bait, but a friend of mine is going to take me out fly fishing when we get a chance. He has had great luck on rampart and antero as of late.

Walked back to the 100 yesterday after the car show and she was looking mighty ragged. So today, I put the rear bumper back on, washed her inside and out, took some polishing compound to the whole thing, and washed her again.

Wow, I'm happy. If anyone had looked at her closely lately, you'd have seen a TON of pinstripping. Well, I used some "Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0" and it took off about 90% of the pinstripping. What's left is barley noticeable. Very impressed with that stuff.

Anyone who thinks the 100 is a bloated body should help me polish it by hand next time...she's not bloated, she's Blue Whale Bloated Carcass Bloated!!!

She's looking really nice again (well, except for the rear wheels that got trashed on Chinaman's :bang:).

I also looked at the 55 for a few minutes, contemplated it's existence, then went on...

When I had the Toyota wheels on I got them mud caked at rainbow falls one day. Was washing it in the driveway and zach was like 3 or 4 and asked if he could help. I said sure and wasn't paying attention and he scraped all the mud off one wheel with a flat head screw driver. I just laughed and said thanks. Showed him how he should of washed it and continued on. I couldn't count how many scratches are on that wheel.

I further modded my winch mount on the front of my 80 by smashing it into a rock on Kane Creek Canyon on Saturday. Then I blew a coupler on the turbo on the Super Duty on my way back from Moab just inside Grand Junction. So now I'm back in GJ for the night hoping to get my SD fixed in the morning and the the 80 back on the trailer and back into the Springs by night fall. CruiseMoab was a blast. Whens CLC gonna do a group run out there?

Wow, sounds like quite the adventure. I haven't been to Moab yet and would love to make the trip. We should definitely start talking about getting out there as a group.

Good luck getting home!

I scratched and gouged up one of my fancy Rubicon wheels at Little Moab out in Rainbow Friday night :( oh well. It was inevitable.

Bummer! Those are some PURDY wheels. Time to get a set for wheelin' :steer: and a set for cruisin' WP ...

:D

Do you have the retaining rings on the boots for the turbo or is it available for yours? Our 6.0 liked to spit the boot off the turbo. Course if the boot blew it is moot.

Maybe start a new thread titled ha ha you guys suck I went to Moab or something like that.

That's just funny right there.

Been in the garage putting a new seal in my endlessly leaky NP231 transfer case's slip yoke eliminator. Only thing on the whole damn Jeep I can't stop from leaking. :bang: Read on a forum where some "Internet expert" figured out you can put a Timken Dana 44 pinion seal in there. Seems to fit a little snug on the output shaft to me. I have high hopes for the quality Timken seal though-- if it doesn't burn up from lack of lubrication.

I blew the hose off that connects the turbo to the pipe that goes to the intercooler. Mine was showing it's age so they replaced it and used the same clamps. Easy repair.

Mr.moose you need to show us pics of your trip to Moab. We are all waiting. Maybe start a new thread titled ha ha you guys suck I went to Moab or something like that.

Ok ok. I'll give a little write up of my adventures to and from Moab.

Found a margarita recipe I really enjoy: 3 parts Tequila, 2 parts triple sec, 2 parts freshly squeezed lime juice. Very fresh and tasty.

OK..... now out to the garage to play with some power tools!!! :hmm: Might even warm up the welder. :grinpimp:

3 parts tequila??? That's my type of recipe.

You know how you make a bourbon and coke? You put ice in a glass, pour in bourbon, and if there's room for coke-- you pour in more bourbon :D

Sounds like my rum & coke recipe.

I think there is a company in Las Vegas NV importing them and selling them here...but at a hefty cost!

Yeah, I found out there's one down in Ozark, MO doing the same thing. They're about 15 miles from where my parents live. Definitely going to check them out next time I visit.

Although many look like they were rode hard and put away wet...

I have been in the process of cleaning out my garage and ran across an old Hilti 9.6 volt battery drill that I've been saying I was going to get new batteries for-- for like the last ten years. Last night I cut off the handle where the battery attaches and soldered wires onto the terminals. Hooked it up to a car battery and it works perfectly :) another thing to add to my boonie bag for emergencies. Not too many things that can't be fixed with a good ol' self tapping screw. Maybe use it to drill holes in something that needs to be tie wired together? Who knows. And I never have to charge the batteries.

Ironically that rig looks a lot like Luke's Cherokee. Are you trying to subconsciously tell us something
