You know what Travis? Your dad was out in that lawn chair in the sun eyeballing my cherokee "expo rig" for a while last Friday.... I think it had an effect on him, this rig is strikingly similar :) Kick @ss!

More progress on the FJ40 this weekend...wiring is about 95% run and done, just a few minor things to do. Should get the tranny hump, gas tank and passenger seat in this week. Still have to paint the front bezel and grill this week so I can get the headlights in. Here is hoping that everything works when I try and fire it up...

Gonna be ready for Riverwalk?

We'll be down for the festivities either way.

According to the weather predictors, looks like we'll be having some nice weather that weekend...

Well when I got home I put some elk jerky in the smoker and then started working on installing my new lock box in the fj. Got both done at about the same time

I'll be down there cruiser ready or not. I'm thinking I'll have it driveable though. It'll be without a few things (upper dash pad, shifter boot, top, heater duct), but I can deal without those for now. I talked to the shop today and they are expecting it on Monday...and should have it done by the end of the week...fingers crossed!

Looked everywhere for one that would fit just right and found this on amazon. A steel lock box but it is very thin metal. I wasn't sure I was going to use it as it was so thin, but if I get something thicker it would start to weigh to much. After getting it bolted and screwed down it is pretty sturdy and I am happy. If someone wants in to steel something they are going to get in regardless of how good of a lock box I have I figured.

Sad but true. I hate thieves.

So I painted up the skids since chinaman stole a little from me. Then I got the high lift all quieted down after having to use it on Easter. I hate those noisy things. Think I got my last noise delt with but need to get out for a mini trip sometime. I had some shag carpet left over from my basement so I threw that in the back for the dog. I think he approves.

Funny. After the chinaman trip, I tore apart my overhead console to fix a rattle, and installed nylon washers under my poly upper shock bushings to stop the noises that were making me bonkers. I can't handle random noises.

I am waiting for a nice warm day to repaint my skids as well.

New HF folding kit trailer for the boat. :grinpimp:

Looks good. Just make sure you repack the bearings with grease before you get started.

I pulled the hub apart and got rid of all the "grease" that was in there and the bearings then replaced it with Mobile 1 synthetic.

Are you going to put in a pulley system to store it above the 'stang?

Yeah, that would be funny.

Nice. Those trailers fold up nicely.
Thanks, they really do fold up nicely. Registering it was a pain in the backside though.

Taking the boat up to North Cat this Sat.
