Go big Hard to find Specs, Info & Measurements on 231mm 13WL Tundra Calipers & Rotors - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum

But Really If Its A 4runner Disk Use 4runner Caliper From A Domestic Vehicle So Everything Is Easy To Replace.

The issue is not the size, but of where the mounting locations are for the caliper are. 80 series are way too inboard from my rough calc.

Would love to find a cad drawing or source for these rings. looks like 4 piston calipers.

Casting. looks like 18025700

Looks like that is a GM caliper.

18025700 and 18025701 (Left and Right)

Nice work on that truss, fits like a glove

@jcardona1 is that your front or did you 3 link that rear? that's an interesting way to get around the gas tank for sure. 2fpower and i's goals after discussing options was to try and keep the frame side as stock as possible as future plan's may include different cruiser to get a full cab again for creature comforts. So I played with the stock frame mounts and moving the axle side around to hit a reasonable number. The stock numbers are attached, for 35's and 2.5" lift. bigger lift and tires only make the numbers worst which is what most people deal with and don't have much complaint.

so with my proposed set-up slightly higher anti-squat but roll center and over steer greatly improved the longer upper link helps get there. there's never a perfect set up but believe this one will be right for 2fpower and what he is trying to achieve. with 40's and portal axles the wheel base will be stretched 2" with the mounting points moved back on the axle as far as we can to lengthen the upper link to achieve it.

That's the stock rear setup. I used the 3 link + panhard calculator since what we have from the factory is not really a triangulated 4 link. It's essentially a 3 link + panhard with 1 extra upper link. But I hear you, the gas tank is such a pain in the ass. I just started working on my rear setup and finished the crossmember, trying to follow in nukegoat's footsteps. A crossmember is really the only way to triangulate the lowers properly while keeping the original gas tank.

brain fart.

Been thinking about the ebrake... what if I did a double rear caliper running the ebrake into a master cylinder.

Havast has these for about $2k per corner.... OUCH, that gave me the idea.

So, plan would be to make a double caliper on the rear, something like this.....

then using some ebrake with hydraulic setup.....

documentation... those calipers came from this thread....

Volvo c303 disc brakes?

I can't find any images in my files of these calipers installed and working, so posted up on lr4x4 to see if that OP can confirm if they work. Also asked for cad file of adapter.

Had an hour out in the garage tonight to work on one of the other mounts. The mount with the cardboard is the one I purchased from Ruffstuff; however, it was setup for a forward mounting direction -- and we want longer arms, so needed it to be backwards. So bent up some 1/4 metal and did a quick cut with the plasma cutter.

Unfortunately, I found out from the poster of the picture below, using the GM calipers, that he has not got that project done or proven yet, so this is dead to me. I would much rather do something that has already been proven.

He did recommend to use these spacers made out of aircraft aluminum. will have to figure source of these.....

@HoJo 61 gave me information that a land cruiser j6 caliper is used in this application. Anyone know what a J6 caliper is?

Question for the hardcore folks. How do you weld the johnny joints? I assume that I have to disassemble them (soundsl like a ptfe liner, so could not get that hot. So do I just weld the outer sleeve to the DOM? If so, what keeps it from distorting? Any tricks?

They say:

4130 Heat treated Chromoly.
Ruffstuff 1.5" Uniball Bearing.
PTFE Lined.
