I’m huge fan of the motive power bleeder when I didn’t have an extra set of hands / feet to help. I’ve ended up with 4 or 5 reservoir adapters over the years, and have a few good work arounds for the “universal” adapters.I have a Mighty Vac for like 40 years - it works great except with crappy threaded bleeder nipples. There are power bleeder systems that use a special reservoir cap and would on the poorly threaded bleed nipple. 2 person system alway works great with smart people.
Looks good. I retrofitted mine on a 1976 40 using a controller from that vintage. In 1976 CA spec they located the fan on front drivers side towards the radiator. They later moved it to drivers side on 1978+ to better direct the air to the manifold and carb. The key for me was the snap switch which you can order with different temp tolerances. It works very well and stopped the hard starts.Restored my carb cooling fan. Someone posted on here that if I reinstalled this it will help with hot days and starting troubles. I hope it helps.

Another vote for the Motive. No one wants to get yelled at while overly exercising just one leg anymore… sheesh.I’m huge fan of the motive power bleeder when I didn’t have an extra set of hands / feet to help. Has anyone had success with not bench bleeding master using a power bleeder?I’m huge fan of the motive power bleeder when I didn’t have an extra set of hands / feet to help. I’ve ended up with 4 or 5 reservoir adapters over the years, and have a few good work arounds for the “universal” adapters.

Never tried but should work? Maybe?Has anyone had success with not bench bleeding master using a power bleeder?
Every master gets done, i’m just curious if the power bleeders are successful. I use them to get close and then get my helper to finalize from the drivers seat. Why would you not bench bleed the master? Easy to do.
Pretty rig!I did some basic maintenance today on my 40. Oil change, tire rotation, new fan belt & new hood latches. I was having issues with the fan belt slipping I believe it was stretched/too long so I’m trying out the OEM Toyota belt now.
Parts used today:
Oil: 20w50 Royal Purple HPS
Filter: Denso 150-2066
Toyota OEM Fan Belt: 99343-11265-77
Toyota OEM Hood Latch: 53506-90900

I’m only a size 9 but use a similar system with my Mity VacHere's my power bleeder. Size 14's and junk. I borrowed a store bought unit once, it took to long to use it. Looks like I could use a new resoiviour. View attachment 4145368
I usually mount the master to the vehicle or vice and run a couple of lines back to the resoiviour with the ends submerged in fluid.

Hahahahahahaha.... his little imagination was running wild. Great job on the brakes.Found a hex head wrench in my junk drawer that fit the fill plug on the new diff cover. Painted it to match so it's easier to find in the tool bag.
New calipers in the rear. Grandson pumped brakes while I bled, he started pretend-shifting when I wasn't looking, he's a natural.

This month I had a H55F transmission installed, axles rebuilt, front disk brakes installed, many rubbers seals replaced, several switches rebuilt ( wiper and sprayer, four way flasher, gauge cluster light bulbs replaced) and now off to get a stainless header and complete exhaust system. It’s coming along
