So took advantage to start the cruiser in the garage while the wife was at the pool. Fired right up with no issues. Ran it for a few seconds and shut it off.
Hope my wife doesn’t smell the exhaust fumes.

Not yet! I think if I can get some more hands are some other way to pull it towards the back I should get it to work. Thanks for asking.
More Rubithon carnage repair; somewhere on the way in the PS taillight went out..seems the little folding shovel that I keep in that corner bumped into a wire and broke it. I was able to perform a trailside repair in camp with the spare piece of wire that I carry for just such emergencies. Today I put in a much more permanent repair with two butt joints and 2" of correct wire.
But, since I was in there, playing with the wires in the back, I thought about making my reverse lights work again. I haven't had working reverse lights since I put in the SM465 and the connectors didn't fit. Just over 20 years. I said I'd get to it later. Found the wire to the lights under the dash and gave it 12 volts, pulled the lights and cleaned them up a bit. Made them light up. Wired them to an empty rocker switch on the dash that I had saved for just this job.
Now I can turn on those lights anytime, like camping. Or when someone has their brights on behind me. And now 5 out of 6 rocker switches on my dash actually do something.

Got the ARB twin mounted up and plumbed
update... Well the outside panels have been part filled, a 2nd coat of rust proof applied & later on l'll be adding another layer of filler sanding it back to level it out & rustproofing it...again. In the meantime l've been dealing with the tailgate, some rust thats been addressed...and as l was preping to give it another coat, l noticed a jagged edge, peeled it back & low & behold the entire external facing part of the tailgate has a layer of 'something' akin to fablon...which when its peeled away exposes the original grey undercoat...so it looks as tho l'll be stripping the entire tailgate back to repair/rustproof/paint.... fun times.

I did a job in Immingham and took a drive on a weekend and drove to Liverpool and crossed into Scotland and drove to Edinburgh and tried to get a room for the night. Everything was booked. So I drove to Glasgow and was surprised I drive from one coast to the other in about 60 miles. Then I was surprised just how big Glasgow was and the skyscrapers. Looked for an offramp to take me south and drove to the Clyde Valley and got a room. I am of Welsh, Scott, Irish and English decent so my family that were minors may have worked in the lead mines in the Clyde Valley as well as other mines in the UK.
I am from and live in Wyoming in the Rocky Mountain region of the US which is the 10 largest State in area but the smallest in population and a lot of cities have more people then entire state. We have a lot wide open spaces and the poor mileage of the F series and the small 16 gallon tank it was tricky getting anywhere in the Rocky Mountain states and needed 2 jerry cans just in case.
I have replaced the F engine with a Cummins R2.8 and replaced the tank with a 29 gallon tank in the cab so have solved the range problem. It will have more range then my Ram 3500 1-ton with a Cummins 6.7 diesel.
You have a very nice Land Cruiser and have wanted the truck but they are hard to find in the States. I am also 6'-3" and the FJ40 has more leg room then the truck but still did not have enough for me. I am going to move the seats as far back as I can when I get to that point.

I have no idea what that means. I have trouble with English. When working in Immingham we had one fitter from Scotland and I was always asking what he just said to me.

I thought it was Scottish Gaelic. There were no double consonants that when I see them I know it is Welsh but have know idea how to read Welsh.
