Got the cylinder head home from the shop. Now with the chevy valves. the oil galley plug was dealt with, ports matched with the intake manifold and header. Checked for cracks (negative) and surfaced and stuff .

Tuned the carb. Not bad for a nearly 50 year old 2F.

Hardtop and doors. Have a little rust repair to do and then off to the races. No reason to not enjoy the summer topless.

Got my 68 FST shipped back home from Arizona! Had a new motor,
A/C, power steering, and electronic fuel injection installed at an awesome shop out there. Happy to get it back home!

Do you have parts numbers for the components used to convert it to Chevy valves and vale seats?

Finally sourced the correct main bearings. Even still had to shave 2/1,000 off the thrust bearing but otherwise a perfect fit. And for the millionth post; in body work purgatory. Making progress though. Lots of little details in areas no one will ever see. Starting to dream about putting it all back together.
This week, I used the FJ55 to take tomato starts out to the garden, then irrigation tubing. I got 2 rows of tomatoes planted, a row of watermelon and a row of cantaloupe. They're 100' rows, so we're going to be well fed this year.
