My choke had been getting stiff . Then one day i had to use two hands to pull it out, and to push it back in.
So i took the carb end of the cable off and stretched it out straight, put a fingerfull of any old handy grease on the cable and ran it up and down. Flexed the cable all around, reached up underneath the dash and smeared more around the cable up there. I squirted some pb blaster down the open end of the cable, i worked the choke knob in and out the whole time.
Then i had a cigarette.
Put everything back together and it was better. But the next morning, smooth as silk. Perfect in every way.
Some folks will disassemble the whole cable to lube it, i don't if i can help it.

The Mule is still topless from last summer. Slipped it out of the garage for a look at the sun…

If I can’t see posts from some users anymore, does that mean they are ignoring me?

It means you're ignoring them! Actually, I don't know if someone puts you on ignore if that keeps you from seeing their posts. I do know when you ignore a user, all their non-sense disappears. It's the best feature of the forum....

I checked and I’m not ignoring them. Oh well.

Out fixing the fence I backed into yesterday. Didn’t have to do anything to the ‘40.

So after about two + years of sitting of the fence I am starting to make provisions for a LM7 4L60E swap.
Other than taking the grill off, removing the radiator and taking out the aftermarket horn I installed last year.
I am starting into the high pressure fuel side of things. So Rusty has an auxiliary tank behind the rear axle which I will be using for the master tank. I bought a LM7 appropriate fuel pump which is ginormous by the way. Had to cut the bottom of the tank and weld on an extension sump so it would all fit. Got the box welded up and then welded onto the bottom side of tank. Got the pump loosely fit into place and pretty happy with the outcome.
Also positioned the tank into place to confirm clearances.
Also cut an access panel in the bed so the future replacement is simple(r). Going to hinge the front edge and weld in some tabs so that it rests is the same place.
