What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I’ve been playing with the Orion since October as time (and skill) allowed. It’s back in seems to be holding gear. So what else do you do? Go play in the slush on a 55* day. 35” mt’s are exciting in slush. Stayed out of the ditch, but it was close.

Picked the kid up from school while the weather held. He’s still not sold on the cruiser, but he lets me have my fun.

Finished install of rear heater with electrical. Installed 2 speed switch in dash (bloody knuckles) and ran wire harness back to heater. Also, finished up with double hose brackets from McMaster-Carr and trimmed rear cargo mat to accommodate heater. Thank you to Toyota Matt for parts and technical support.

It's been a busy couple of weeks. Replaced some parts, gaskets, and spruced it up a bit.

New water pump, fuel pump and fuel filter, new thermostat and painted the housing. Replace the timing cover gasket and seal. Painted some odds and ends. All this happened because I needed to tear apart the cooling system. Oh, new hoses there. Belts, fan and fan clutch. All the new stuff looks nice.

Also, it was time to do some things on the inside, too. Had the seatbelts re-webbed with new regulators. And I painted the metal seat backs, rear heater, and other grey things.

New stainless Via Overland Metric. What?....It counts. OK, so it wasn’t a banner day. It still counts.

Is that your handy work making the preheat flange? That’ll last longer than the original!

@ToyotaMatt too late sir, that switch is now officially designated as the Golden shower knob. The votes have been tallied.
