Did some modification to the oil canister/ filter mount which enabled me to get the air-cleaner back to its stock position and eliminated the need for the adapter for the Sniper 2GC.

They are not. Fixed top, removable top with latches, and later bolt on 45 tops are all a little different and don't interchange off the shelf. In the event you had one of each on the shelf.

damn...guess I’m out of luck on this one

If you don't have a top your best option might be to cut down a 40 top to make one.

@Krenie Excellent lighting is super important. Buy a few 4' LED garage light fixtures. Mount them on a wall OR hang them on a ladder(something stable) so you can move them around.

Big key is dialing your guns spray pattern and flow. Here's a helpful youtube.

I have got a fair bit to learn about using a hvlp gun before I paint actual body panels..

Took a peek into my cylinders to make sure they were healthy using a cool little scope I picked up on Amazon.
This is on my 64 f135. I have documentation it was worked on in the past with rings and bearings, and by the looks of it they must have honed the cylinders.
They all looked good to me. Maybe others who have a better trained eye could offer an opinion?
The pics represent what they all looked like.

I was going to paint the bib and aprons but it was a little chilly this morning. So I took one of the sides from the engine crate and made a door with storage behind it for bits and pieces.

Removed distributor to properly position it as the Colombian restorer put it in wrong. While at it, installed new vacuum advancer, knob, cap and rotor. Timed engine and it’s running perfectly. What’s interesting is engine operating temps have come down. Not sure why operating temps are impacted...

Discovered the 4 bolts securing j30 transmission to bell housing were not correct size. The bolts would not torqued to spec. The restorer used 1/2-20 bolts which caused 2-3 mm movement when truck and suspension flexed when under load and climbing or going over mounds. A pretty big build mistake in a critical structural area. Have no idea why anyone would install these and say “ good enough”?

The OEM bolts are Grade 5, M13x1.50x40. OEM Part #91112-51340 still available from Toyota. Was able to get two installed but need to tap the other two and waiting for M13 tap.

I made it to my appointment today for a plate and a tag, out in 10-minutes. Went to the old shed for two M6, locknuts, and some unmatching washers, and, with proof of insurance and registration, I'm free from the driveway. Pumped some GL4 oil to the steering gear box, and for the tank, one gallon of 88 octane gas. @lurch @Tank5

No surprises. It steers fine, brakes straight, a symphony of door squeaks and rattles. With every bump in the road, my toolbox was a tumbler of sockets and pliers. Driveshaft is smooth, 2F is super torquey, transmission and transfercase hums a good tune, all is good on the dash.

I was nervous to see if my bicycle actually fits in the back. I have 26" wheels, it worked with only the front wheel removed; that is a big victory. So I went in a wind storm to watch the sun set over the Jemez, get a good look at the Sandias and Placitas. Not a very clear sky, but about as cool as it gets for June.

With daylight being long, I've been trying to make this my spot after work. On the weekends, I'm trying to be somewhere in the distance. It is kind of surreal when you are surrounded by the pygmy forest, and you look and see mostly untouched mountains. There are tons of trails out here, and it is like a 14-minute drive from my house.

Awesome!!!!!
Glade to see you got it back on the road. I am sure it put a smile on your face. Good work.

Dizzy, What exactly does "I made it to my appointment today for a plate and a tag, out in 10-minutes" entail? Isn't there a roadworthiness test?

It's the same here in CA, no road test or safety inspections. When I brought mine in for new tags and a plate it was ~20 minutes only because they had to do a Vin verification.
I'm sure New Mexico is even more relaxed in their rules.
