Just fooling around with a "no sew,no drill, no snap, no canvas " cover for when I remove my amby doors.
Parts list:
harbor freight drop cloth
window cut out from an old canvas tent
strap I had in my scrap pile
some of that paint from the craft store, mixed in a bucket of water to dye the drop cloth
some "tear mender" from tractor supply. to make the "no sew" sleeves for the magnets
those magnetic tool holders from harbor freight.
83 cents worth of that black plastic chain from Lowe's for D rings.
If I knew it would come out this good I would had have taken more time to do it!
Might be a good project for next spring.
red neck? yes , but it kept me busy for a couple of days.

Nice conversion. Did mine a bit ago too. Did you decrease the height of the f250 shock towers also? I did, but only took an inch out. When bolting back together noticed that I still needed to clearance the fenders half an inch..

yes I cut them down.

@reddog90

Installed the set of seat-belts I got from seatbeltplanet into the 64.
Looks pretty close to OEM as far as I can tell...

First two are new (duh)
Third one is original

@letterman52 what BMW seats are you using? What year is your 40? I couldn't make my E36 seats work in my 74, they sat too high in the cab once I had everything fabbed up. The fuel tank under the passenger seat was my deal breaker.

318TI. They aren’t powered so they sit lower. Mines a 75’.

What's the difference in height in the ass between the OEM and those BMW seats? My powered ones sat about 6" higher in the seat than the OEM ones, that was measured sitting on the floor of my garage.

No idea. I never had stock seats. Bought the truck with the CCOT bestop junk seats and their brackets. Been using the brackets from
CCOT as a template now for every cruiser I want to add another vehicles seats to as they are just plates. If I wasn’t concerned about CCOT suing me I’d laser cut a ton of them and offer them at cost.
