Is there a thread on that 40 / 80 pictured above?

Nice looking rig...

After 4 years, my baby has come back to me!!!

This one is special.

I frame offed this rig and sold it to a guy who stored it indoors for the past 4 years at his vacation home in Idaho.
He never got to drive it. :( His brother put 10 miles on it, and that's it. He has now fallen ill and is selling to help with medical Bill's. He reached out to me and I am happy to assist with the spruce up and sale.
It just arrived, so I jumped in and she fired right up. Rear drum brake is sticking, but other than that, it seems to be in tip top shape. Shipper needed to air down the rear tires to get it to fit in the enclosed trailer. It's 6'11" tall at the rear ...
I'm going to install a sniper 2300 fuel injection system to bring it up a notch, throw some 33s x 10.50s instead of the 31s it has now (bad decision on my part) put some miles of smiles on her, then sell it again...

It already has a thread in the classified section started. I will update that when I get her sorted out.

Probably my favorite build so far...

Since the weather seems to be cooling, I thought it a good idea to reinstall the hardtop for more driving this winter............
Began workin on the top over two years ago (moved to new home and shelved the project)

Scraped, sanded, rust removed and coated with boat paint..................
With everything bagged/boxed, I guess the condition of the weatherstripping was forgotten - ordered most of the other needs but was hoping the hardtop seal was usable......... nope!

Rebuilt the 3 speed trans and transfer case. There was so much grease on the transfer case that I didn't even realize it was an aluminum case! Got them all reinstalled. Drives great with the new synchros.

How do you like the 2300 on your other 40?

I’m getting ready to do the same. Where did you source the new synchros?

I got them from SOR. They were listed as OEM but didn't come in Toyota bags or with Toyota PN's. I'm sure they're just repackaged.
