Nope! Just remove the grill and some of the clips on the upper bumper. Took some wiggling but is easy
Good to know. What options did you get?

Installed clear edge protector on the rear tailgate so I stop getting paint chips putting stuff in / taking stuff out of the back when the tailgate is up. (First I filled in the existing chips.)

Before and after:

You can see the adhesive strip on the inside half of the edge protector depending on the angle that you're looking at it, but the entire strip is mostly not noticeable if you're not looking for it.

DIY’d WoolWax application. Bought a 6 gallon Dewalt compressor and it worked well with WoolWax’s pro level gun. Definitely worked the compressor but never ran out of juice.

Used a gallon between the LX and the 4R as both were fluid filmed last year. So far, stuff looks identical but doesn’t smell as bad. Time will tell if it holds up better than Fluid Film as it claims. Cruiser is garage queen and not even driven in the rain so no need to coat it.

That 4Runner shot is years of “layered” fluid film and dirt that looks like an Asphalt-based coating.

Yeah those terminals. I searched for a while. I didnt want to pay $100 plus for terminals but everything else I saw looked kinda cheap and not as functional.

These are from rugged rocks. Battery Terminal Distribution Blocks by Rugged Rocks - https://ruggedrocksoffroad.com/power-distribution-terminal-blocks-by-rugged-rocks.html

1 set is $45, and they are incredible. solid aluminum. 3 top screw in and one side one. I have them on both main and aux.
Thanks @xhrix123!

I think I'm going to order these.

Do I need the "Fusible Link Riser" option? Not sure what that refers to. I have an LX570.

Thx!

I bought these a couple weeks ago. The risers are for a Nissan application and have a part that rises above the battery for some reason. The website and products are usually Xterra oriented I think. I got the riser-less ones which are flat and the ones you usually see in pics. They are pretty nice.

Today once again lain under the car to tinker with the differential there is with again a damp rusty spot on the sill noticed.
What do you do there? Of course, you first knock with the wrench against it.... and lo and behold, behind the new hole hid once again my old acquaintance.
The damned Sahara sand that attracts moisture like light attracts moths. 😂
Maybe next year I'll have the sills welded.

Got the km3s!!! (285/70/17). Next is a lift. Debating between the BP-51 or the King 2.5. Heart says King, but head says OME.

Yes, I know I’m doing this backwards, but my KO2s were completely bald and don’t have the cash for a lift yet (almost!). I don’t really want to change tire size even after a lift because I don’t want to have to regear or trim anything.

You won't be disappointed with the Kings. I bought mine a couple of years ago on Black Friday for the same price of the BP-51's.
