Just ordered some lug nuts to replace the keyed lugs for the rock warriors. My set is coming together.. The .75" bora spacers were sent to a different person with the same name, in NJ while I'm in CA, so I'm still waiting on that to be figured out.

Here's a shot of the RWs powder coated. It's a cardinal color, steel gray metallic GR02. Need to put a clear coat on the center cap. The rings aren't polished or anything and still the OEM color. Think I'm going to leave them that way.

That's a trail of boulders .. been down it a few times in my FJ40 and friends with Jeeps. Couple spots had some friends balance the rig.

Any on the trail pics with the 200?
Normally I would have had my Gopro running, but we didn't expect to meet up with another offroader on Gold Mountain that suggested we do little John Bull. Basically take a left from gold mountain onto holcomb valley then a half mile and a right on 3N10. The trail leads to the trail head of John Bull gatekeeper. We watched folks come down John Bull and I am sure I will never try that one with a 200 series.
There is a youtube video of little John Bull. About halfway through is the nasty downhill ledge that got me.

Finally saw one too many posts of another 200 on 285/70r18 Ridge Grapplers and had to join the club - pretty big jump from my 275/70r18 KO2’s. Only had them a day but initial impressions are awesome and they really do seem to be the perfect size for a lifted 200. Will update my suspension thread with more pics soon.

Looking good! I agree this is much more befitting of the big bootied 200-series. I get the whole narrow tire movement but that was always a disproportional look I couldn't warm up to. Big girls need big tires.

I definitely agree. Originally went with 275/70r18s over 285/65/r18s when the rig was stock for the extra sidewall height and didn’t think them being 1/2” narrower would bother me - I was wrong, especially after I installed my TD kit back in December. Wish there were more options in this tire size, but the Ridge Grappler seems to be a great all around choice according to all the positive reviews on this forum!

I finished up the Tundra suspension arm swap on my LX today and got it aligned. I also put some 1" spacers in the rear.

Looks awesome. Did you cut off the old AHC linkage bracket and weld it on the tundra arms? Is that in high mode in the pictures or did you do the "sensor" lift at the same time? How's the tire clearance in normal mode? Sorry for all the questions, when I take over driving our LX570 as my main vehicle I plan on completing the tundra swap on it.

Yes, cut the sensor bracket off the stock arms and welded them onto the Tundra arms.
Pictures are in high mode, but I did do the sensor lift.
I don't get any rubbing with the tires 275/65r20, I did remove the front and rear mud flaps though.

I made a thread on the subject.

Hatch lighting. Highly recommend reaching out to Equipt1.com for some of these National Luna touch lights. Two lights is probably overkill but if I need to perform surgery on a person sitting on the tailgate (I am not a doctor) at night and not attract bugs I am covered.

I see you have the handle on your rear hatch. Would there have been any way to center one light there with the handle there? I mean, you have to do two due to OCD. At least that’s where I’m at. Are they both the dual with red also?

Yep - mine is the dual white/amber combo:

Had lexus do the air bag sensor recall. Q1
Changed out air filter and removed the hydrocarbon filter.
Gonna do a little road trip to Brian Head, Utah for some mountainbiking.

Did a bunch of work on the truck myself in June-July.
  • Replaced radiator (+upper & lower hoses)
  • Replaced A/C condenser and Schrader valves
  • Front and rear rotors and pads
  • Parking brake shoes, hardware, and finally a proper adjustment
  • Bought new clips for the engine bay trim panel between the grill and radiator. Several of them ran off at some point.
I also had a local shop do some work back in May
  • Changed oil in front and rear diffs and transfer case
  • Replaced Icon UCAs and LTA with new Trail Tailor parts
The truck is now running and riding great. The A/C is more than up to the challenge of summer days in the high 90's. Ride is noticeably more supple than before. Brakes are easily modulated, and the parking brake actually will hold the truck on a hill.

Once I earn a few more "work on the truck" credits, I'm going to install the rear hatch release & handle kit (Cruiser Bros?). The OTRAMM video on YT is a great visual to accompany the written instructions. And then the leather steering wheel wrap a bunch of guys did last year.

Installed a Tough Dog lift yesterday and new wheels and tires today.

I installed OEM spring spacers in the front. You can see some of the AHC fluid escaped when I disconnected the hydraulic hose...

I know this is an old post - but did you reconnect AHC to that shock? Any specific bleeding requirements? Thinking down the road when I may have to replace mine....thanks!

Looks great, definitely like the wheel/tire combo on the black compliments it well. What size tire are you running?
Thanks! I'm running a Nitto Trail Grappler in 275/70/18. They run big for a 275/70/18. Nitto measures them at 33.6 x 11.1. That puts them very close to some 285/70/18s (BFG says a 285/70/18 KM3 measures 33.7x11.5). They were only $259 each so I thought I would give them a try. I was worried about them being too narrow but I think they fill out nicely. I really like the look.

Nice 👍, I'm running the 275/70/18's as well in the KO2's no complaints but I'm not crazy about the narrow look but your Nitto's don't look as narrow. I was thinking about going to a 285/70/18 when the KO2's are done its always helpful to see the different options.
