They also cost an absolute fortune to ship! $455 was the quote I got to PA.
Wow! Mine were only around $180 to ship, though I also live a few miles from a UPS depot.

Thx. I’ll check the space. It would go in place of one jerry can inside my Slee, 3-can basket. Prob not enough room but I’ll measure & post.
Edit to @TonyP -Max footprint of 14.25”x7.75”
Other alternative is almost doubling that to 14.25x14.0” taking the spots of 2 cans, keeping only one on my bumper for quick use, faucet, etc...& other 2 inside, lower & centered between axles in second row.
If anyone knows of a 14x14” footprint weather-proof-kid box about the height (or a bit less) of a jerry can...I’d love to know.
Correct. Powdercoat.@Recon Aircrew - I use the Metaltech sliders on my 100 and they hold up very nicely to rocks and trees. It looks like you went with a powdercoat over traditional paint?
@Markuson , what happened to your TrekBoxx? I must have missed that discussion.Went through my drawers and side fit kit spaces to work on reducing weight.
Believe it or not...I dropped a good 35lbs...despite how FULL my drawers are in pic below. Main reduction was in heavy tools, redundant smaller items like sockets, liquids and items I had accumulated amongst similar, small items (bolts, etc).
The space they used was replaced by lighter stuff I always have on trips anyway, but scattered in other bags I end up digging through. So now saving the space those bags won’t take, and keeps drawers full enough to be silent/motionless inside.

Weight efforts will continue...
Hoping to replace one of my 3 water cans with lighter recovery stuff in its place on my swingout. So much water weight there not good.
Maybe something as simple/cheap as this large ammo can I saw today on a nicely built 4Runner- would be super handy, and keep a muddy rope outside after messy use...

That looks nicer than any ammo can I’ve seen!
But I’m actually not needing a jerry can to fit inside it.. It just needs to be the same bottom dimensions of a jerry can so it can squeeze in place of if of my three jerry csns in my 3-can basket.
Might need to break down have make a custom size basket made to accommodate larger ammo cans like that one.
Hmmmm... Wheels turning
Thanks @TonyP!
Got the lift installed this week I was afraid 2" wasn't going to be noticeable. I was wrong.
I'm going to stick with these for right now. But will definitely be going with a mud tire next time just not sure which one.Looks great. Are you going to size up the wheels and tires, or stick with those for now?

I have the open container one mounted to my bumper. (I painted it silver).
The one I have is just an open can. The top swings open, no drawers or hinged front panel.Yes, but since it needs to sit in a basket, though, I’m hoping for a top-access-only unit. Just want to be able to pull recovery straps out quickly without having to remove can or the seals that secure it.
It’s more a size constraint. Eventually, a different basket or a modified basket will do the trick.
Was hoping to get lucky and find something that would fit without modification...but probably pipe dream.
I believe @Markuson is referring to the location directly in front of the seat, right below the drivers knees.@Markuson so there by your right knee on the side of the center console is what you are suggesting?
I thought about initially doing it by the passenger left knee but that didn't seem like it'd be an easy grab in case of emergency. I tested as if I needed it from the rear of center console and didn't seem too bad
Didn't think about gear and other aspects that you mentioned..
