What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

ordered a muffler and tail pipe (new) from toyota using 25% code...from a dealership 5 mins away. both items came in damaged. tail pipe was all sorts of dented. muffler, not too bad but still got some damage. they attempted to replace the tail pipe with a new one and it was a little better but i ended up telling them to taking it both back...and asked for a refund.

are there any dealer recommendations i might have a better chance with to get a properly packaged item? dont know even if it even matters because it looks like the item was shipped from California to the dealer here and that might be when it gets damaged.

I also swapped my fake ARB Intensity lights with real ARB Solis lights, which are dimmable and controlled by the high beams via a panel that gets mounted inside. I drilled a hole through a couple of factory switch blanks and mounted the controller here.

Did rear diff fluid…looked new…
And transfer case fluid supposedly 13,000 miles old. wtf.
Damper was put on wrong (upside down).

Used ravenol. 4L and c-diff engaged without any issues afterwards..whew!

Replaced the passenger side headlight washer check valve. Did a lot of searching but haven’t seen anyone else with similar parts failure? Both seem d to go right before 100k miles. Luckily it was $4 from the dealer and only took about $10 mins.

Interesting that the studs needed to be changed. I have a 2016 with 1" BORA and they fit with no changes and with stock tires and wheels.

Yeah the shop said they did it out of caution to make sure they got a full thread for lug nuts.

Downsized my tires from 305/65R18 KO2s to 285/70R18 KO3s. Moving for work, and the place I am moving to doesn’t allow tires to protrude beyond the fenders (no poke). Good excuse to get new tires!

Although the new size is barely a mm taller and nearly an inch narrower - they rubbed a ton! Had to re-mold the fender liners and ultimately cut some plastic to regain lock-to-lock. The old 305s had almost zero rubbing. Can you tell which picture is BEFORE and which is AFTER?

Hits keep on coming with the company that did my install.

They installed my kings, did the LRA aux tank, did the hidden winch mount, and installed an ARB dual for me. They ended up coming out to my house here in 29 Palms from Las Vegas this past Wednesday and installing the bolt to put my KDSS arm back to my sway bar end link.

Instead of actually installing a distribution box in the engine bay like I asked them, they added a tap a fuse inside for the ARB it would seem - now none of my cigarette lighters work inside the vehicle and my ARB compressor will not turn on. The switch illuminates, but the compressor won't turn on.

I'm more worried right now about my cigarette lighter - the one up front by the shifter doesn't work, neither does the one in the second row where I have my fridge.

I've replaced the 15amp "CIG" fuse under the drivers side kick panel - this fuse wasn't tapped into, but unsure where to go next. My installer is at Overland Expo SoCal, but I'm pretty fed up at this point.

Am I expecting too much here? Someone let me know if I am. Is this normal to have this stuff happen?

As noted elsewhere, installed the DiodeDynamcis hitch light, replaced the rear reflectors by sequential brake/turn/emergency unit and removed the thrid row seats. Anyone interested in the seats please PM me; they're black leather like new. Yes, I'll post on the classifieds.

Upcoming projects swap out the OEM fogs for dual white/amber LED fogs and start Launch mods time permitting.

I put Diode Dynamics all over my LC and love them! Fogs, a couple hidden in the grille, and some in the rear bumper. Fogs on factory switch. Grilles come on with high beams, rears are dim red with taillights and come on bright white with reverse. Plus all have manual on/off on the dash.

I wasn't able to see anything for the 2021 LC200 for fogs in DiodeDynamics or Baja or.... I hate to get something from China (again); the reflector replacements were incorrectly wired when I got them. Not rocket science to sort it out, but still, I don't want to have to do QA on every thing I get from there...

Are your fogs white/amber?

Fogs are DD SS3 SAE MAX in amber. SO bright. SO amazing. To install, modified a Tacoma kit, easy to do. The 4 SS3s in the grille are a pair of PRO driving and PRO combos, one white and one amber (forget which is which) that all come on together

2014-2021 tundra/2016-2023 4Runner/tacoma fog applications will work on 16+. I have the squadron SAE and I love them.

I have been searching for awhile and can't seem to find a surefire answer. Can someone help me with if there is a Baja Designs fog light kit that will work on a 2016 200 series?

Baja Designs - '12+ Tacoma / '14+ Tundra / '10+ 4Runner / '16 - '21 Land Cruiser - Squadron Sport Fog Light Kit - Amber - Pair - Slee Off Road - https://sleeoffroad.com/products/bd-447115/ - this one claims to fit but can someone confirm? If it does fit, is there any custom brackets or anything extra required or is it plug and play?

OEM bolt from Toyota, crack the kdss valves, put it back?

Or have it towed to the local Toyota dealer for them to fix?

I assume it's going to need another alignment?

I'd damn sure make them aware of their F up and have them pay for any parts and labor to make it right. You paid for a service, and it was done wrong. Somewhat dangerous to drive without sway bar as well. Your "installer" is s***. At this point, you have to play the game. Learn what should have been done and accept nothing less.
