My first oil change on her. Installed the fumuto valve and was excited to use a drain hose on the oil filter housing but the drain cap is seized to the housing (also happened on my 5.7 tundra)…so I guess I need to shop a new housing. Maybe an aluminum one.

Also installed front engine skid from Rival 4x4. Pretty straightforward install and it’s perfect for my needs and it gives me access to the oil filter easily.

Dropped off the cruiser for some upgrades that I wanted a professional to install.

LRA 12.5gal Aux Tank

2.5 Kings custom tuned by Filthy Motorsports (will have zero additional lift; maintaining OEM springs)
SPC UCAs

SDHQ Hidden Winch Mount
Warn Zeon 12S
Factor 55 Ultrahook

ARB Dual Compressor

Extended diff breathers
Slee billet battery terminals

Had discussed installing my redarc system, but I may have gotten the wrong one and need to wait until I get my Trekboxx Alpha system.

Picked her up today.

Aside from the Ultrahook she looks unmodded, exactly what I wanted.

Transmission fluid exchange. Old fluid looked good. New fluid was better 🤙🏻

Love the hidden winch. Dissent makes a flip up license plate bracket that covers the fairlead, might work on a stock bumper.
I don't need a front plate so not sure I see the need for this, but may look into this.

I purchased my LX from a Denver cop, and it has never had a front plate on it. He told me it was not an offense that Colorado LE bothered with any more. 5 years later, he has so far been right. Leads me to wonder how many people have actually been stopped for a missing front plate.
The use of License Plate Readers (FLOCK) on city streets has started to become an issue out here due to loss of privacy potential. AI rearing its ugly head.

@prwillard2

I'm guessing the newer 2.5's from Ben now come with the black remote resi's? Or did you do that custom?

Looks awesome!
This is just how it came from Ben at Filthy!

I ended up making it 3 clicks softer on all 3 corners (they were in the middle to start per my installer) and now it rides like a dream.

I had told the wife I was "upgrading the suspension so it would ride as soft as that LX570 we test drove before we bought cruiser".

Apparently in my haste to pick up the truck, I didn't do a thorough enough look at the suspension.

This is my drivers side this morning.

What bolt is missing?

Is this vehicle even safe to drive? My installer is 3.5 hours away.

Don't drive it until that is fixed, you can already see witness marks on your lower spring seat from parts of the sway bar system hitting it.

Also high speed maneuverability is highly affected.

I’m on a roll this week! New shoes!

Replaced ko2 with at4w. Stayed 275/70r18. Load range E.

ko2 had approx 60k, decent center tread left (5tire rotations); were 7yo and starting to crack/rot on a couple of sidewalls; defn got noisy and slippy in rain in the last 6mo.

Considered going up to 285/70r18 to get load range C. Ultimately decided against it cuz rubbing and mpg etc etc.

The at4w is defn bigger than the ko2. Wider and taller by a smidge. Bit of rubbing on what I’m pretty sure is the front mud flaps, turning in reverse. Gonna try heat gun and 2x4.

Your KDSS arm isn’t connected to the sway bar end link mate.

Gents thank you.

Fastest way to fix this myself?

OEM bolt from Toyota, crack the kdss valves, put it back?

Or have it towed to the local Toyota dealer for them to fix?

I assume it's going to need another alignment?

Do I sue this installer?

The only place it matters for me so far is street parking in boulder. I’ve received a few no front plate tickets. It’s like a $70 fine or something. Highly annoying.

Even if you loosen the valves it’s unlikely you’ll manhandle it back up. Do you have a floor jack on you?

You will want the nut bolt, I'd verify those part numbers.

Yes, I have a floorjack and a bottlejack!. Can I do this while it's sitting on the ground?

Suing is going way too far IMO, but I would make the installer aware. To me, it would not be worth the 3+ hour drive and risk, I would just fix it at home.
