Is the whole thing a metal building or just the shop?
It's a free standing building, all metal.

When you said its new home I was thinking your home was a metal building, not just the garage. Here's mine that we built almost four years ago, although you can only see about half of the shop. It's 6000 sq ft under one roof about half shop and half house but they share a roof. It started as a 6000 sq ft metal building we only order half of the wall panels and built a stick frame house up to the roof on the other half.

That is gorgeous!

I have a carport but needed a real garage. It's nowwhere near the size of yours at 1200sf. Is the garage side just garage or is it an airplane hangar too?

That is a cool house

This is fantastic!

Sorry for the thread drift. The garage side is about 3000 sq ft plus a mezzanine level that is about 700 sq ft with a pool table, games etc. It has a shop bath with a shower that we used while building it. The house is about 2900 sq ft total, upstairs downstairs, with a deck above the great room that is just over 1000 sq ft. I'll post a couple more pictures. I'm retiring in two months and will finally have the time to get it all in order. Right now it's just stacks of bins and boxes from when we first moved in.

This is from the end through the 14x14 door, you can see the mezzanine in the distance.

And a couple from the deck across the gas fire pit in the middle, one of my favorite places to hang out.

I found a shot from the garage side right after it was completed, before we put in any landscaping. You can also see the deck pretty well on the far end of the house. The doors on the end are 14x14 and 10x10. The front looks like standard doors but they are actually 18x9.

No one person is mad at the thread jacking, just jealous. My dream home right here.

I’m going to have dreams about the gratuitous organization I could accomplish in either of these garages.

Hey everybody. Sold my Tesla and picked up a 2013 Lexus LX 570 a couple weeks ago. Since then:
  • Rear driver and passenger wheel bearings
  • Alignment
  • Oil change
  • Oem wipers front and rear
  • Rain sensor to intermittent wiper fix
  • Hamilton Apple CarPlay kit
  • Replaced damaged steering wheel logo
  • Replaced damaged passenger side dashboard trim
  • Polished headlights

That would be a jarring increase in fuel usage hahaha!

Ha. I do miss having the power and full self driving. I got a promotion of sorts and now work at our corporate office that’s much closer. I also sold my old 2007 4Runner. I needed something that was a better fit for my life than my commute. I also have an old Defender 90 and keeping up with three cars, plus my wife’s, was getting annoying.

substantial decrease in annual insurance costs though and no more paying the NC EV registration fee ($214.50 according to a web search)

2013 200 Series with 160K .

Changed out the front bump stops to Perry parts . Big difference in size. I ordered rears. I like they are made in the USA.
