Yep. You definitely need to apply that UV protectant afterward.Looks good, but if my experience is any guide, you'll be at it again in a couple years.

That’s pretty much how it was for me pre AHC lift, but since then it’s almost distracting (though slightly improved by the fluid change). The front dipping almost feels like I’ve randomly tapped the brakes, which is especially a weird feeling when I’m in the middle of accelerating.I think this is one of those things that is more a mental block than anything. Yes, I can feel it lowering if I'm being attentive to it. That's just AHC telling me I'm hunkering down into freeway mode and that's cool. Enhancing aero to save gas, increasing stability, reducing CV wear, and locking in on a good road trip.![]()
So very few suspensions out in the world are active and do all the magic that AHC does.
I wonder if the change in geometry of the arm attached to the height sensor is responsible for what you are feeling. I’m just kind of brainstorming on that. Or maybe the vehicle drops more quickly (or unevenly) for some reason because of the additional height. That’s pretty much how it was for me pre AHC lift, but since then it’s almost distracting (though slightly improved by the fluid change). Im considering just reversing the lift and just using AHC high when I need it.
I did the same thing. Replaced my globes, removed my wheel spacers, and put the sensor lift back to stock (using TechStream as a guide) and it's soooo much better. Sure, I like the 'higher' look, but I'm not going to try that again without all of the added components that will 'hopefully' keep it as close to stock pressure as possible. That’s pretty much how it was for me pre AHC lift, but since then it’s almost distracting (though slightly improved by the fluid change). Im wondering if aftermarket coil suspension on the LC could benefit from front spacers and improve ride quality? You hit the nail on the head in regards to pressure. Without augmenting the physical coil springs, AHC sensor lift will put more of the vehicle weight on the hydraulic portion of the system; less on the coil springs.
The higher pressure when released to decrease ride height will drop more quickly and dramatically. Falling onto coil springs that aren't supporting as much with less pre-load.
Proper way would be to augment the coil springs with spacers to retain more stock like pressures.
Fronts using either OEM Toyota 10mm spacer or E&E Off-road 13mm spacers.
Rear could use 20-30mm coil spring spacers.
I was going to get SuperPro 20mm.Im wondering if aftermarket coil suspension on the LC could benefit from front spacers and improve ride quality?
Also, anyone has any specific recommendations with regards to 20 and 30mm rear spacers?
Are you aware of any good write ups on reversing it? My attempts to search for that mostly turn up posts about deleting AHC altogether.I did the same thing. Reversing a sensor lift? Here's what I did after replacing my globes: I first adjusted the height sensors so that the front and rear were at stock height (front - 19.5"~19.75" / rear - 20.5"~20.75") - measured from center of wheel hub to top of wheel arch - and then I hooked up techstream which showed the offset of the previous setting, and I again adjusted each bracket on the height sensor, dynamically while the vehicle was running, to get it as close to the previous setting as possible. I wish I would have taken pictures of each sensor's arm setting as it would have saved me a lot of time. Also, I feel like the adjustment for those height sensors could have been a much better design, like an adjustment screw for better precision, rather than that sliding arm, which is horrible (IMHO).Are you aware of any good write ups on reversing it? Thank you, time to get into tech stream I guess. Fortunately I think I may have pictures of my sensors.Reversing a sensor lift? Cheap plastic auto panel pry made quick work of popping speaker cover free. I chose to install all the fasteners though plenty solid leaving a few out as some have done to avoid the clips ( they align if you pull the mount all the way forward on the cover)I also just bought one of these! Looking forward to the install
