I was going to say the opposite. Looks like it needs a good wash underneath and has a big ass fluid leak. Instead of wasting time painting that ugly hunk of metal haha.
No leaks, but healthy driveshaft lubing over the years has certainly left some crusty build-up.

New KO2s! Local tire shop came close to matching Costco’s best deal, gave me a 100% free replacement for 12 months, free flat repair and rotation and saved me 150 miles each time I’d need to go to Costco for service. The ride is significantly quieter over the worn ATs that were on it. Size is LT275/65 18. 4 wheel alignment performed as well.

New infinity component speakers in the front doors. I was impressed with the plastic enclosure of the stock LX speakers. I did just a little bit of cutting / modification to make the new larger component woofer fit. The stock speakers sounded pretty decent for being 20 years old, but the new ones sound amazing! I am taking advantage of late night garage work while the wife is out of town.

Share a link for the speakers you purchased? Did you add an amp?

A little wheeling at Sand Hollow SP. Anyone want a first hand experience??? The Winter 4x4 Jamboree is held here in January and is the largest winter 4x4 event in the USA and I would love to get some more Toyotas out here. I was thinking of maybe an all Toyota trail ride with a few extras thrown in. PM me and let me know.

New lower control arms a la @NLXTACY because @beno said I'd abused the stock ones into bent-dom, all new hardware on clamshell, new driveshaft, winch installed so I don't need guys to bail me out as often...

Finally installed 12” LED lights bars behind my bumper. I intended on doing this one night 2 months ago, but the install came to a haunt when I realized I needed to remove my bumper to properly mount them. Not a masterpiece of an install, but good from far. The amazon wire harness with remote made it reallllllly easy.

Wrapped up the Nav Delete - last week actually but who’s keeping track?
Eating some crow, maybe, because I ended up going with a cheaper head unit that has a wired connection. Inconvenient but definitely a first world problem. The whole project snowballed a bit and I’ll try and add to the pool of knowledge in the pre-03 Nav Delete, but honestly everything I needed was here or with Crutchfield’s customer service. It just took money - speaking of which - today my ML head unit sold so I am basically back to zero including new speakers, powered sub, head unit, climate control, and a million little helpful bits and pieces.
I also swapped out the cigarette lighter for a dual USB charging port - but that was small potatoes in comparison.

We drove the beast over the North Cascades Highway thru Winthrop and into the Okanagon. No off-roading, but loved how it hauled ass up the mountain passes! That is Lake Omak in the background. I got 14-15MPG - best gas mileage yet - good news for the big trip into Utah this summer.
