What product did you use and what preparation steps did you take?
I used a power washer to push and rinse down the dirt on the wheel well. Masked off parts that cannot be contaminated (silver body colored panels). Then just used a 4” paint brush and applied this evenly:
Gave her a botox today
Replaced a leaking passenger front brake hose today. Yesterday I finished up replacing the radiator that was destroyed by the faulty fan bracket.
All the things I've been putting off, you've done in the last week! Was this paint? I was going to mask, light sand, then use trim/bumper paint for mine.
I used this:
Yup I had to sand the trims first the surface was in rough shape. 400 grit as primary, then 800 grit to finish the prep. Then 3 coats of this paint.
Did you sand down past the rubber coating or just smooth out the texture in it?
Yeah I sanded down those high spots, once the surface was even and smooth that was good enough.
What did you use?
Got a spare key. Bought directly from Lexus. Too many “ifs” online esp. for 2004 model. I was looking at nearly $60 between a key with a chip (correct or not) and for the cutting. Bought a no-button OEM Lexus key and had them cut from VIN# for $60. Brought home and worked door locks and window functions perfectly. Tried to start just to see what happened- engine turned over quickly but did not start. Programmed this morning on the first try, thanks to the MUD forum. My wife laughed at the process, until it worked. Lexus wanted another $60 for this, easiest $60 I’ve ever made.
I ordered them from Whiteline. I have always had good luck with their products in the import tuner world.

Finally. I’m a little annoyed that I got the 2863 springs and lost an inch in the back from just the bumper. Nothing else. Might need to upgrade my brand new springs.
