In preparation for an upcoming Baja trip with @Dan2722 and @bushdoctor , I assembled a kit that will allow me to simultaneously air up all 4 tires on my 100. The kit won't shorten the time it takes to air up, at least not measurably, but it sure is easier! Looking forward to putting it through a more thorough test on the trail.

Some benefits:

1. Equalizes tire pressure between tires
Ensures even tire pressure around the truck. Want more air pressure in the rear? Simply unplug the front tires and keep inflating.

2. Hands free operation
A major plus in my mind. Plug it all in, turn on the compressor, and watch the gauge.

3. Works with any compressor and/or truck
Good if you have more than one truck with different compressors, or if your wheeling buddies don't have their own compressor and want to use your OBA set up...you know who you are!

The whole kit...4 air chucks, high pressure air lines, some Ts, a gauge, and a quick connector to the compressor

Plugs into compressor output (mine is at the back of the truck), unrolls on each side of the truck toward the front wheels

Connect to the wheels

How hard was this? Sounds like a pretty easy project for a bit more sound quality.

It’s very easy, look on YouTube and search land cruiser 100 subwoofer and you’ll see someone with one arm doing this. Lol no really he’s using one arm, the other is in a cast. Just pull the rear panel out and replace the subs. You’ll need to remove the 3rd row seats though. I didn’t have mine so it wasn’t an issue.

That's hilarious! That's me and my one arm. That job sucked with one arm, pretty painful, also installed a BT45 Bluetooth receiver with one arm but had a friend help. All healed up now but still recommend tackling this fairly easy job with two arms :)

Here is the link

Oh didn’t know that was you! Lolol thanks for the diy, helped me a great deal. The whole time I’m just thinking how is this dude doing this with one arm. Haha

Can't wait to see this in action!

Installed new shift indicator plate to replace my junkie old one. Also had my windows retinted in the front to match the stock mirror tint on the early 100’s. First Viper ceramic 30% tint. A couple weeks later a layer of 20% to match the rear. Lastly, had my fairlead powder coated black and installed a Factor 55 link.

cruiserparts.net $118 shipped. Its been something that has been bothering me since day one. Glad I finally did it though. I just had a lot of other things higher on the list.

Looked down while stopped at a red light and discovered I desperately needed a new alternator. For those that can't see it very well it says I'm only pushing 8.62V.....not even enough to power the radio and not enough to start the engine again if I were to shut it off:bang:

I'm leaving town Wednesday for a camping trip so I decided to have a local trusted shop do the work. While they were in there they also replaced the fan clutch as it was on its last leg as well. Dropped it off at 8am this morning and got it back at 4:30pm this afternoon with a new (reman) 100A alternator (OEM was 80A) and a new fan clutch. Now pushing 14.2 and it runs much better.

Nice. I know 4crawler sells these kits but I've been skeptical of how well the design performs, with some people saying the tire pressures are never equal and need individual topping off anyway. Interested to hear your experience with it.

I went on the viper website, found the local distributors here in SoCal and the 3rd shop I called had enough for just what I needed. It’s pretty uncommon. They said $50, no warranty because they would not be able to replace, and because it’s ceramic it would
take 2-3 weeks to dry completely. I didn’t roll down my front windows for 3 entire weeks. Once 3 weeks was up, I went back to have it tinted over with some 20% dark tint. Very happy with the results.

One more question if you don't mind: is it a specific color/finish/etc. of Viper ceramic?? I'll definitely start calling around local distributors to ask. The tint mismatch drives me nuts!
