Some a****** kid thought it would be funny to hit my car this evening (long story). I've pressed charges and he's sitting in one of the local jails. Glass is shattered, window tint it keeping it in place for now.

Division bar is $60, new glass is another $250, and then tint. Actually a bit cheaper than I expected. Told the cops it was probably $500 or so.

You sir are #winning. Nice setup and collection. What year is the air-cooled beauty? I have '79 SC.

I just added the same lift a few weeks ago, but double wide. Finally have the garage almost dialed in!

After much debate on which tires to go with and with Discount Tire’s past sale, I picked up some Goodyear Duratracs in 285/75-16 and had them mounted. My initial thought was that they looked way too aggressive, but I wanted something that was awesome in the snow. A little hum at speed, but I can live with it.

Also tried to get an alignment, but my lower ball joints and a steering rack bushing were bad...next thing on my list.

GDenver for the win... I'd be afraid those Defenders would mark their territory on the bottom cars. Of course, having them up on the lifts is probably their natural environment. :hillbilly: Just kidding. Color me jealous.

Naah.... As my wife said, they look bad-a$$.
Now drop the running boards. ;)

Haha...wife approval trumps everything. She loves the way the tires look as well.

I proposed removing the running boards a few times, but she flat out hated the idea because she struggles to get in as-is. My plan is to drop them before it snows in an effort to "prevent excessive salt accumulation which may lead to rust." :smokin:

I've never had running boards and my wife already wasn't fond of climbing in and out, but I recently lifted it 1.5" via OME springs and torsion bar adjustment. I didn't tell her, and she didn't notice until she got out of it at the grocery store later that day.. "Did you make this thing taller??!" I just smiled and said "yup" ..She said "I dont like it, but now you are the only one that can get our daughter in and out of her seat"..It was a small price to pay.lol

that sux, sorry that happened.

Thanks everyone for all the love on the garage. Whats pictured are just a few of the current collection, and the crazy part is I'm planning to daily drive the LX470 this winter. I'm a young guy, but the older I get the less I want to spend/care about my daily driver.

It is a 1985 Carrera Targa. It's a newer addition to the fleet this year, going to be seriously digging into the car this winter. I'll have to find some pictures to post, just smashed my old phone...

My defenders are all turbo diesel and contrary to what most people think they are incredibly reliable, and with my obsessive tendencies they really don't leak much if at all. That being said, there are drip trays that span the lift runways to catch whatever may or may not drip. All 3 cars are sporting a fresh new coat of paint as well. The red car is a 1989 2.5td and the blue 90 is a 1991 200tdi, and the 1989 blue 110 3 door is also a 2.5td. Awesome cars as long as you aren't in a hurry.

The Duratracs are great in the snow. And much better than my current KO2's in the mud too.
