Oh yeah! Hate to get rid of my '06 but wth the low mileage, 1 owner, diligent maintenance, and rust free...I couldn't say no. I just hope white grows on me!

Finally got around to (cooled off outside) to completing my second battery tray. Just needs to be wired up now...

Nice job. May I suggest the addition of a plastic battery tray.

Tires rotated, oil changed, transfer case fluid changed finally, and finally got my stock skids puts on. Before winter still have to strip, clay bar, polish and seal the paint and spray the undercarriage with a heavy coat of Fluid Film.

Continued baselining from when I bought her in March...

- Drained 4 qts of coolant from the radiator, and refilled with new Toyota SLL Coolant. I am doing this every 5,000 miles until my case of (6) 4qt jugs is gone.

- Did an evac and recharge on the A/C system. Also, fixed the HVAC problem where it wouldn't blend cold and hot air for correct temp. Behind the driver's side dash, below the steering wheel, and on the right side, was a hose and sensor that was disconnected for some reason. Now 72 degrees is 72, instead of HOT! This was the reasoning behind the evac and recharge in the first place. I had the dealer diagnose the problem when it was in for a wheel balance. They wanted WAY too much just to recharge, which ended up not being the issue. Oh well, 10 years is probably time to put new refrigerant in anyway. Now my A/C is extra extra cold - just in time for winter.

Decided to plasti-dip my peeling chrome wheels. I cleaned them, peeled off whatever I could, cleaned again and applied about 6-7 coats of plastidip (Matte Black). Also did the chrome trimming in the back, the front grill and a squared off area behind the license plate. The last one was to prevent rust, since previous owner put the license bracket on so tight that it cut into the paint and was scratching it off.

Overall pleased with the results.

Buffed out some scratches, replaced the steering wheel,
center console top section, and installed the pfran interior led kit.
Tuesday goes to the shop to get some custom brackets for the shadow awning, since the alu-cab brackets are drifting around in the ocean somewhere...

Thanks. Just curious, every car I've ever had, had a factory OEM plastic tray. Why?

Looks good! I've been debating doing this to my wheels as well until I get new ones. Any more pictures of it?

Big day for plasti-dip I guess ;). I covered some pretty serious hits and scratches in the rocker panels. I did black to match the newly added blueberry bumper my son and I installed on Monday night.

Tried to reindex the tbars but they are stuck solid. I'll have to gnaw on those for awhile. I had to button it back up for today.

Acid can't eat plastic or glass, helps protect the paint and metal.
Tip: When cleaning battery always sprinkle with baking soda to neutralize acid before rinsing lightly with water.
