How much did you add?

I have a weeping output shaft seal on my transfer case and added 50ml just for kicks. Seems to have significantly slowed it down, so I might add another 25ml to see if it makes anymore difference.

so the more I'm thinking about it, the more I'm thinking this may be OK for a non-pressurized system, but I'd hesitate to use it in anything pressurized (like power steering, where I had my issue)

Didnt you say you put the entire bottle in the PS system (8 ounces)?

I've used in my PS for quite a while but only 1.5 to 2 oz and never had issues. Also used in center diff for several years.

I have used it numerous times in the power steering systems and it has always worked very well to lessen leaks. Sounds like you put too much in. The bottle gives you ratios/quantities per system capacity.

I don't remember how much was used, if there were directions I followed them. I wasn't too butt hurt about it as I recognized it as a bandaid until I made the repair anyway, maybe it was just bad luck (and poor previous maintenance). Either way, this is why I say YMMV.

About the same here. The bumper was pretty straightforward but relocating the winch control box was a pain in the ass. I found that the VICE relocation kit i used just doesn't fit as nicely into the control box as the SB provided cables. I might end up putting different (lower profile) cable ends on so that the box can be closed up properly.
I wedged my control box between the head light and airbox. The thick cables for the most part keep it in place, looks janky but it works. I had help and it was still an all day project.

Create account, or login at Toyota parts center online…
Private promo code for GR owners. I do not own a GR, but the promo code worked for me.

One time use only… so I am told.
Is this an actual dealership or just some online store? Tempting since now I have another HG to do after the Hundy.

EDIT: NO MORE VIBRATIONS WHILE IDLING IN GEAR. OCCASIONAL THUNK GOING INTO GEAR SEEMS TO BE GONE. WOO! I have already done most of the usual suspects (diff bushings, greasing joints, drive flanges, diffs rebuilt, etc)

This was the most helpful of the vids I watched:

Thats great to hear. Motor mounts are about the only thing left I could think of to get rid of vibs while idling in gear when the ac compressor kicks on.

Toyota parts center online is the official online Toyota discount parts seller. It’s the real deal. Always lower pricing than the parts counter.

You can select the nationwide dealership of your choice, and choose delivery or pick up in person.

I live in California… When I am ordering > $75 parts, I take advantage of the $75 minimum purchase for free nationwide shipping, and I try to select a dealership that does not charge California state sales tax, and thereby lower my overall cost. Like dealerships in Massachusetts, and sometimes Arizona, Kansas or Oklahoma. State sales tax on $1000+ purchases adds up quickly. On large dollar orders, I shop the dealerships that do not charge state tax.

I recommend you shop by your delivered price amongst several dealerships, and choose the one that has the lowest delivered price.

Thanks for the heads up, I guess I need to get my list. Oh boy my wife will be so unhappy after I spend her money.

Hello Everyone!
Just joined the forum yesterday but have been learning from yall for about 8 months! I bought my 1999 Landcruiser last August and have installed a new alternator, rack and pinion, and 18" Toyota rims with 33" tires. I just ordered new upper control arms (555) and new lower control arm bushings and ball joints(555). Also new Toyota front shocks. Hoping to get them Installed in the next few weeks.

Picked it up with the new Katzkin ventilated seats (and new OEM driver seat cushion) installed. Combined with the ‘nut chiller’ vent I’m ready for summer!

How much was it? I'd be curious to get the fronts done. Nobody really sits in the back of mine so I feel like that might be extra money for the hell of it. Last price I saw was 3300 for 1st & 2nd row with new wrap on center console but that was 2 years ago.

I paid $2,269.85 for the seat covers and ventilation kit from Mosely, then paid $1,100 for a highly regarded local custom upholstery shop to do the install. This is for just the front row, but it does include headrests, arm rests, and center console. Was quoted $550 for just the leather install.

Replaced the fuel pump and sending unit, and finally got around to swapping the heater Ts. Also now I have humming/buzzing coming from my gas cap after driving.... 🤔 I guess I'm gonna check my charcoal canister next to see if that's where its coming from

Any chance of photos with the plastic seat backs removed? I did the Mosley kit, but they have absolutely ghosted me in every way each time I've tried to ask them how they stuffed the thermoelectric cooler and ducting on the seatback. At the moment, I haven't been able to reinstall my seatbacks for over a year.

Still though, good leather & the cooling is nice! Definitely a ton of work to swap the leather as compared to any of the other Toyotas I've ever done.

Sorry, no - I had a local place do it and they didn't take photos. Somehow they made it work, but they're an offical Katzkins installer and have done quite a few LCs (there was another 100 series on the lot when I picked mine up).
