What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Just ordered OEM radiator, hoses and clamps for almost the same price of a aftermarket radiator from other sites from Serra Toyota of Decatur. They're having their spring sale and it's 25% off for anyone needing anything.
Deliberating right now on if I should order upper control arms and tie rod ends. How often do these sales roll around?

Traded my RTT to @TrailBornRunner for some U-Joint labor and a couple cargo boxes. Basically, our 100's traded hats

Unfortunately, I'm joining the DDC (Divorced Dad Club) and the RTT was for the wife and son...
I can't get my fat ass up that ladder and my bladder would necessitate a giant "beer bong"
anyway. So if I go camping with my son, he can share the ground tent with me.
Now I have space for recovery gear and flyfishing gear up top AND got 178lbs off my roof rack.
And Trevor gets to upgrade his sleeping quarters right in front of his Cruise Moab trip this year.
A symbiotic trade.

Ourisman's daily prices are generally cheaper than Serra's sale prices, but they don't repackage large parts like radiators (extra padding etc.).

Getting a batch of sliders in queue.

Been doing heaps of jobs prepping for Cruise Moab. Wasn’t expecting the left rear caliper to stick… again. I’ve been monitoring the pad wear every 5k tire rotation and all has been fine for the last 32k miles, until now. When it goes, it goes fast.
Pics from the first time it happened-

And today, same exact story.

Curious to know what was your process when did the rear calipers?

Well, I was in a hotel parking lot in eastern Idaho so the conditions weren’t ideal. I removed the rotors and took them to get turned at Les Schwab, cleaned up and greased the pins and installed parts store brand brake pads I could quickly get my hands on.

I’m on a time crunch this week before Cruise Moab so doing it the “correct” way by replacing everything with OEM and bleeding, etc. isn’t in the cards. So I got the rotors cleaned up again, the left side is just +.024” over minimum thickness. And parts store pads.

I’d like to say that I’ll do it correctly right after I return but I’ll probably let this happen again in another 30k, to that end I’m swapping the rotors so the the thick one is now on the left and has some meat to give up for the next time.

Wrapped up fuel tank work. Initially replaced just the fuel pump about a year ago after it started to fail. All the other components looked worn out during that job so finally got around to replacing those. The last pic shows marine grease and Fluid Film applied to help mitigate and prevent future corrosion. The truck has very light under body surface rust so was surprised seeing this much rust at the tank.

Had to replace the one in my 80 with an aftermarket unit because OEM is NLA. Figured I'd get one for the 100 while I still can. I was occasionally having issues with the tank being overpressurized, hopefully this helps.

I’m curious what over pressurization sounds like. Does it hinder filling? Do you just hear the pressure release from the gas cap when you open it?

that's what they looked like to me, and gun storage is how I'd use them, I just wasn't sure if it was a similar box designed to be bolted to a rack or if it was just those cases adapted. thanks!

Usually a prolonged hissing sound as you open the fuel cap. At elevation you can hear bubbling and gurgling. Never had it spill out though.

Heard some tick-tick-tick on start-up yesterday and being hyper-vigilant about plugs backing out and having installed plugs and coils +/- 18 months ago I decided to make sure the plugs hadn't backed out. First plug on DS bank took maybe a quarter turn. Now, if it ticks, I can chalk it up to exhaust.

This is on my list too. Heard a tack tack tack on cold start up the other day too. Thought the same thing.

Did you use a torque wrench when you installed? If so, I would be curious to know what torque you used, as well as if there was any sign of antiseize on the threads.
