Thanks! The paint is Line-X Ultra (their exterior body panel coating product) in the Toyota color “Mudbath.” It was hard to find la Line-X shop with the equipment to apply Ultra, but it turned out great and seems really durable. That’s good looking Cruiser! Tell us more about that paint job.
I've done my floors the whole way from firewall to the back, quarters, doors and wheel arches are on the list. How tricky are the interior panels in the rear quarters?Needed a quick project and remembered I had some dynamat in the garage so I took care of the back half in the Lexus. View attachment 4187962
Ended up using about 4 sheets on the outer rear quarter panels, rear arches, and floor. Have another 2 sheets left but I think I’ll buy some more and do the rest whenever I end up upgrading the speakers/sub and replacing my nakamichi amp with a 5 channel
A little annoying to get to but I just did like one 7x 10”? sheet each side on the area that was easiest to get to. Basically where the sub sits on the left side. I’m not 100% on the dimensions I was just eyeballing it.I've done my floors the whole way from firewall to the back, quarters, doors and wheel arches are on the list. They are Sealight brand. They had pretty good reviews and since they are on amazon, I can return if I get flashed and am blinding people. I have drove very little at night since putting them in, but will probably take the cruiser on a trip this coming weekend. Should be able to share better results after that. What LEDs did you use? This might be stupidly obvious but my wiper fluid nozzles have been malfunctioning and overshooting forever. I just noticed in the sun that 2/3 on each side looked pretty clogged - cleaned them out with a needle and good as new.
Kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
Globes replaced!

Sometimes just looking at alignment dots can be satisfying.

Almost done, just taking my time with the 110° Las Vegas weather. Seriously considering installing an AC in my garage soon.
Work done:
• 2uzfe VVTi camshaft seals replacement L&R.
• front crankshaft seal replacement.
• dual oil catch can setup.
• valve cover painting, wrinkled.
• new hydraulic timing belt tensioner.
• a few coolant bypass hoses replacement.
Thanks, 90s-2000s civic type r and 20-valve corolla 4age younger days, the wrinkled red is like a time capsule for me. But what my dream build was this, totally unnecessary but completely a work of engineering art: T6061 full billet out a 5-axis cnc. Those crinkle-red valve covers look amazing.
