Corbet: What do you guess that load weighs?

Was it sitting on the bump stops?

This load was not that heavy. Definitely not on the bumpstops. Wood was standing dead, well standing until I showed up. So it was good and dry. There was probably 120+ rounds in there. All 15lbs each?

It does not get into the bump stops until your around 2500lbs (at rest)

I've way overloaded it in the past though. I bet my heaviest load of wood was close to 4000lbs. That was a little scary driving down the mountain on an unimproved road.

Nice Corbet ^

some dry tamarack in a smaller trailer. The smaller rounds make for less splitting. Started earlier but still need a couple more loads to be stocked up.

Beautiful. Love the back of the Cruiser loaded too.

Myself and 4 other neighbors went in years ago on a used hydraulic splitter. So I like the biggest rounds I can find;) (check out post #16) Splitting takes less time than cutting.

Another day another load of wood. This one put me just barely touching the bump stops. It was standing dead but the needles were still on it. So quit a bit if moisture still in the tree. The lower rounds were all I could to get in the trailer.

Here is mine from today. One more to go and I'll be done cutting for the year.

I'm kind competitive in a silly way:) I'll have my rebuttal pic of a loaded military trailer Saturday. I've got several loads to go yet this season. I need a bunch of wood. Wood heat only en mi casa and I'm supplying wood for a few people as well. Nice to see other people using their trailers in a serious manner. Mine is a 1953. I had to make the wheels for it. It's supposed to be split wheels and its the huge 5 lug pattern. So I cut the centers out of the splits and cut the centers out of some 8 lug 16 inch gm wheels and welded the 5 lug centers into the gm wheels. No more split wheels. Then I got some used military michelins. They measure 37 inches.

P.s.
nice 80 sir.

No worries, I can be too. But you have already won with that first pic. Those rounds are HUGE. Im guessing 36"+/-. Plus a fully loaded pick-up bed to boot. Trees that big are far and few between around here.

Really all I need is the white trucks excuse :D And thanks on the 80.

I use an old stihl 038 av super that was my great grand dads with a 25 inch bar. I had to cut from both sides. The rounds in the trailer were from a tree somebody else felled and took a very small portion from and left. We saw it after I had already dropped a tree that was about 28 inches at the base. So we took all of the first tree and some of the tree dropped by somebody else. So that load in the white truck and Tacoma and trailer was less than 2 trees. And on top of that when we started working the 2nd tree that we didn't drop we started at the top of the tree and worked our way to the base. So those rounds you see on the tail of the trailer are about 25 feet from the base.
