What did you put in your military trailer today?

Uh, this is the closest I've come to owning a military trailer. This is my HO scale diorama.

"hayride" for the kids

Took my niece and nephew for a "hayride" up and down the street at Thanksgiving. Kept it slow and we never left the neighborhood (short dead end street). Couple of bumps in the pavement kept it interesting.

Hot tub anyone?

Seriously......has anyone ever filled their trailer with hot water and used it as a hot tub?

Is this do-able?

I never filled mine but had the pleasure of draining swamp water out of it. We did a cleanup and the tires were filled with some nasty stuff.

I have taken it accross water and it has stayed dry and I had to drain it to get the water out so I think it would fill up well.

I guess if you wanted to climb into a 4 by 6 trailer full of water with four grown men and not enough clothes out of the trail somewhere... it would be doable.

My question though is why would you want to do that? ;-)

Well, we do not own a hot tub and I do not want to deal with the expense or aggravation of hot tub ownership but......moving the m416 into the back yard for temporary hot tub use could be novel and a super inexpensive way to enjoy.

We have a tankless water heater that would fill it with hot water. Maybe figure out a way to temporary install some kind of soft seating surface that would not float to the surface. Might place a 1" sheet of plywood under the tires and landing leg to distribute the weight.

The notion of doing this on the trail, with grown men was not what I had in mind. I would like to enjoy something like this with the wife.

Please post pics of the setup if you do this!

Ha. Could build a fire under it to keep it warm.

another Ben Hur. Guy I bought it from for $100 had it for 30 yrs and said he bought it from someone who had had it 30 years. I put in a new axle for 6 on 5.5 wheels.

Here it is Loaded with kayaks and bon-firewood for a trip down the island.

Please excuse the dodge!!
