I was going to put all the new parts coming in on my land cruiser but I was thinking of hiding everything for a restore 15 years from now...

Changed oil pump gasket, crankshaft seal, belts and degreased everything. 600 ft-lb torque wrench made tightening the crank bolt a piece of cake!
Is that a cheater bar attached to your wrench?
No, that's the entire wrench. About 4' long. Made pulling 304 ft-lbs very easy. Borrowed it from a friend's commercial truck shop. It spends it's days torquing lug nuts to 350 ft-lbs.

I was curious to see how people tighten the bolt back on. They only talk about how to take it out, using the starter method mostly.
Yah, big 3/4-drive torque wrench and a 14mm deep socket on a flywheel bolt to hold the crank still. I used the starter method with a 3/4" t-handle bar to break it loose. Very quick and easy.
Picked up a pink-panty little brother for the 80:
Took the LC to the beach today and cooked myself in the sun for a few hours.

Went snow-wheeling in socal with the 80. Had major snow at 7000 feet Elevation, looked like 1/2 an inch, figured I'd need lockers, a snorkel and 35" MTRs and maybe chains, but I made it through ok with none of that. Almost thought I should lock the center diff, but I didn't. Brutal winter here I almost had to wear a jacket.
ITS DECEMBER.... IN THE MIDWEST.....IN DA UPPER PENINSULA!! I am out searching for new places to go camping in 50 degree weather rather than spending time on my sled! My only saving grace is my Duchess!

It's not just the equipment, but the driver's experience driving in the snowy conditions.

Jen are those flush mounted lids plastic or metal..?
They're plastic, but very durable and solid. I stood on them with no flex at all.
went up in the Santa Cruz mountains and picked up a tree with the misses and scored some Rigid D2's "trees for led's" from my buddys garage on the way back. Then spent some time switching from the ARB like waaay to bright leds to my old warn hids and the new rigid d2's. Old LED and HID's will be up for sale soon.
