I think they are, but most importantly, I don't think they will the the 80's gutter (judging by the picture).
My car does not have the factory roof rack, so I need something for the snowboard rack to attach to .
If I were you I wold get four diamond rax gutter clamps and two low profile struts and four stainless bolts. Affordable and way beefier than Thule / Yakima setups. I'll snap a closer look of my rack tomorrow.
As pretty as Aloha Jen is, it is probably pretty difficult to take a bad picture of her. With that said, I doubt she lacks extensive photography coaching as she looks like a professional model in her shots. Nice addition to Mud and she seems like a genuinely nice person on top of that! Lucky husband and lucky us!!
Do the struts have a channel inside to mount the rack on them?

Toyota engineers were right to exclude them from the Series 80.
Where exactly are you supposed to place your beer bottle, if there are no cup holders? Between your legs?

I got a working radio in my car, I don't need another live talk show.
I think I will get a set of those clamps and see if I can repurpose some old ski racks I already have. They are probably a little short for the 80's roof width, but I can always try.
I'll see if I can take a picture of those racks I got already.

I drive two vehicles; my series 80 and a '67 Mustang convertible. In either one, it seems if I turn the ignition key, a comely lass magically appears in the passenger seat. She, therefore, is obligated to "hold my beer", apparently. I do nothing to encourage or discourage this behavior, and am frankly baffled by it, but there you are. Maybe if I drove a Prius or a two door Dodge Neon, a hipster douchebag in footee pajamas with a goatee and an ironic look would appear, but sorry, "Mongo not go that way; Mongo straight."
Post 7 pin mod, I had the ABS light go on for about 10 minutes and stay on, until I applied some assertive braking. Since that time, I've driven about 20 minutes and it hasn't been on again. Hmmm.... I wonder how long my ABS ECU is of this earth? It looks like it's had several baths from the rear window windshield washer unit which leaks on it.

Thanks, and I actually was headed that way and guess what happened? You initiate a "conversation" with a significant other in a confined space, things happen!...I got stuck in Solvang....spent the night and then our surf and turf turned into a trip to santa barbara mission!....I still don't know what I was thinking! Maybe I should just travel alone from now on!

The 80 was designed to hold a Stanley coffee thermos holding coffee black or a reusable water bottle (a la Nalgene). Not Starbucks you freaking skinny jean wearing, clove cigarette smoking, stocking hat in warm weather, acting ironically about everything, douchebags.
And it wasn't meant to hold beer either. Don't be irresponsible. The only drinking in my 80 is by my passengers.
