I loaded 3 friends, a dog, and a pile of camping and surf gear in my 80 and drove to North Carolina where we ferried over to the North Core Banks (Cape Lookout Natl Seashore) and spent 3 days camping, surfing and hanging out on a remote barrier island. Surf conditions were definitely so-so but the setting was amazing and there was pretty much nobody out there. I was a little nervous about hauling so much weight in the 80 but it had no problems at all getting us there and back.

500 miles on a half tank of gas... not bad.
Pulled off my relocated washer bottle to get access to the PS wire grommet in the engine bay. Can't get to the grommet from inside the truck even dropping the glove box. It's just too darned high on the firewall. DS is much lower. Running a 6ga wire back to a new Puma air compressor mounted on the PS where my CO2 used to be. Wire is on order so stuck a piece of romex thru to fish the 6ga wire when it arrives so I don't have to remove the washer bottle again. I needed to make sure there'd be room in the grommet before dropping $$ on the wire. PITA to remove even though it's only three bolts. Lots of accessory wires running around and past the cruise control module where it's bolted on. Next weekend's project - run the wire, crimp the connectors, etc. so I'll have air for my next outing!
Where did you find the hill in BFE? Which direction was the storm winds coming from.
I have had my 80 for about 16 months now and spent countless hours and dollars on it getting it Rubicon ready. So far she has been over parts of the Rubicon 6 times and even in winter.
The 80 series is truly an amazing machine and my belief in its capability is still growing. I watched many rigs go through the Little Sluice Box from full on buggies sitting on 42's down a couple Jeeps on 35's and when it came my turn the 80 made me look like a pro! Lol She wheeled right through, as she has before, with less difficulty than most I saw that day. And this time I have proof!!

Got My sons new 35" KO2's installed. Pulled the diff's out to install Just differentials 4.88 gears. I'll be completely rebuilding the front end with Just Diff's stock Replacement Birfields, LowRange Axle/knuckle rebuild kit, new brake pads, and Slee stainless brake lines. Rear axle will be getting new bearings, brake shoes, wheel cylinders and stainless lines.

Did about 1000 miles in the desert and found some great campsites. And got stuck while we were at it.
