Took my 4 year old to get some ice cream. Sometimes she just likes to go for a ride in "big bucksnort." Just like her old man.

Mind sharing the paint color you used? If I pop off the valve cover I'm considering copying your paint scheme if you don't mind - that looks sweet. Also how much extra horsepower does that add?

This was a test piece for the scheme coming for the wheels.

I used Duplicolor Wheel Coat in Graphite and Satin Black. Everything got a etching prime coat then plug covers the Satin Black and the valve cover the Graphite. 2 light coats then a medium/heavy. All then covered in matte clear. Working on the new shocks and OME springs now.

I used the 'Chrome adds horsepower' site and did the deduction for matte and it came out to be -3HP per coat. :)

took her for a quick spin along the CT river

Went out to a small off road park today with a friend with a 100 series. Reminds me why I don't go to small off road parks. No real adventure and some bad Jeep drivers.

Yes, he is high centered on a boat...

It's nice having tires that don't stick out past the flairs. Everyone else had tons of mud on the outside.

All clean. Only had to spend $3 at the car wash

No pics but took the dog and the wife to a local mountain man rendezvous in the 80 and scored some arrows for the wives recurve.

I'm getting tired of "liking" your posts, but proceed as you must! Almost makes me want to buy a 3FE...almost

New plugs, wires, distributor cap, and PCV valve yesterday. Picked up some LED reverse lights. With the LED DRL that I installed above the license plate it is now bright enough to actually see when backing up!

And finally got around to installing the new paracord grab handles with the newly designed mounts. I think they turned out clean. Now he just needs to make the remaining six and any that people buy...

Last night My wife and I and the lx450 visited her works appreciation dinner. She works for veterans united. They provide home loans to veterans across the country. The special guest for the night was this guy

After a short presentation her work and Gary Sinise foundation presented a grant to build a smart home for this airman

Thank You and your wife. I'm actually going through Veterans United for my homeloan and I've seen Gary Sinise live at 29 palms playing in the the lieutenant Dan band.

Everything the guy posts is ridiculous! He could post a pic driving over a pile of doggy doo and I'd "like" it. One of the nicest trucks on here IMO.

Been working on these a bit... New "sliders"... Wait, no window "sliders"....

Errrr nah...

Exo / window/ sliders / 1/4 protection.... It's just growing....

And before someone says something silly like damage multiplier its backed by a 1/4" full length backer plate inside the body panel that's then tied back down to the 3rd row mounts over the wheel tubs...

Still work to be done not final design, tacked for mock up.

Hey wow an action shot!

Went to the park to play. Took a look at the flex.... not bad for sway bars still on and good enough for me as any more means pulling bumpers and flares.

Headed out to the Dragoon mountains (near Tombstone) Saturday, 20 miles of dirt road one way. The ruins are an old 'stagecoach stop'. The granite dome is the "Hideout Wall" which is across from the "Warpath Dome" in Cochise Stronghold West.

Forgot to add that I used my rear hatch lock for the first time EVER this weekend. I've owned the vehicle since new and didn't even know there was a lock back there until a couple of years ago. It didn't work. I thought it was the key being worn. Well, on Saturday I squirted some DuPont Silicone Lube in it with the hatch open. Worked my key in it a little. Let it sit for a while then squirted some more. Worked the key some more. And it works!! Holy crap! So yesterday I took my son fishing and locked the hatch just for sport!! :)

I picked up another caliper bolt from the local stealership, got my front calipers secured (pulled BOTH front wheels & verified that all 4 four bolts are now good & tight.)

I changed the oil (Wix filter, Rotella 10/30 & a bottle of oil treatment with ZDDP), and took the old beast out for a couple short trips. I can't wait to get the PM stuff sorted out & get this Cruiser back out into the wild. I took the wife on a recon run, looking for new trails in the Ouachita National Forest yesterday - in 'her' JK. We saw some awesome stuff, but I kept saying "I really need to take the FJ back up here."
