Here it is mounted at the "oh sh1t" handle location. It's a little long for here so he'll make those a little shorter.

Which model did you go with? Happy with it?

this model here > http://www.busdepot.com/a7905 They also offer an even larger version of it for a few dollars more.

while not as convenient as the ARB, after a couple tries and labeling the rods, I will be easy to set up and stow out of the way when done. The flat feet can be anchored down or in windy conditions, tethered as well

they also have this picture of an 8o on their website

BYW, busdepot also provides good quality e-spec H4 headlight housings that have the sharp cutoff light line. with 90/100 watt bulbs and a built harness w/ relays, they throw some amazing light in my 40.

Does it roll up like an IronMan awning?
I saw that amazing price on those E-code lights!!! The Jeep guys would love to get those for $34.

that is bada$$ I love It. I hit my head all the time on that handle so this is an awesome upgrade plus it's always nice to have extra cordage if you need it. I always keep a bundle of paracord in my possibles box but it never lasts.

My weekend is Sunday and Monday so I went fishing this morning.

Have hit my head a few times on my grab handles so my 13 year old son and I were brainstorming. He whipped up a paracord handle. This is a pic of the DS entry assist handle (or whatever it's called). Going to have him make them for all of my handles. The two strings I have pulled off to the side have now been cut and melted. Just used D Ring hardware and the existing holes and screw. Will trim the D Ring hardware so the extra hole isn't there. Will probably paint it too to make it fancy. And it passes my field testing. I weight 240 lbs and am 6'2".

What's the Mud price for two in brown? Great opportunity for a young entrepreneur.

I'm going to do a little fine tuning with them tomorrow but going to have him make all of them. 10 handles. Approximately 20' of paracord 550 per handle for an extra 200' inside my 80 in addition to the the couple hundred feet in emergency kits. Can never have too much paracord. My son wants to sell them so may make them available to others. Not sure what all is involved with that... :meh:

Lake Sabrina?? Outside of Bishop there are about 1000 lakes it could be. lol

Pretty sure Sabrina is stream fed. That one looks like its snowmelt. Never seen Sabrina that color. Plus Sabrina you can drive to in a Prius, whats the fun in that? :flipoff2:

This is how the awning showed up....

I need one of those patches! I have a Carhart jacket with a logo embroidered on it that I want to cover up. HOW DO I GET ONE?!?!

Replaced the backup bulbs with LEDs and a cracked lens with a used but perfect match one off the Bay. Last week drove down a dirt ramp onto the beach to be confronted with a higher tide that had washed a two foot drop off of sand. Had to make a hard turn onto the drop to avoid the salt water, probably put it into a 30 degree tilt, powered right out. Why I bought it and it doesn't disappoint.

Fixing the flutter
New exhaust gaskets ..... Again
