Took the boat out of the water to put in winter storage.

Then drove 5500km back to Banff to work for the winter. Left Nova Scotia Wednesday morning, arrived in Banff Sunday evening.

Went to BushTaxi Treffen in Germany where Sadayoshi Koyari was invited and gave a nice presentation. Around 900 Land Cruiser on one place and really nice ones too.

Busch taxi 2024

 
Well it was the past couple weekends but we put on a touch over 11,500km driving from central Alberta to Cape Breton and back with a stop in Quebec. The landcruiser didn't skip a beat and even managed some pretty solid fuel economy (12ish L/100km on 37s).

We ran into a Dutch couple who had shipped their 79 series to South America last fall and have been touring since. We also found 40 series was a chance encounter at a dealership while I was trying to sneak in for an oil change.

How does that work? Let’s say, and god forbid you have ti repaint something in the future. Did the bodyshop create a paint code or note down how much (weight) of each color goes into mixing your paint?

I created the color and have the recipe for it so it’s easy to reproduce. All I have to do is say how many ounces of it I want and the computer does all calculations for me on how much to pour and mix.
 
Re-did my belt job, with the correctly sized Toyota belts this time! What a difference that made, lol (parts store belts for the alternator/fan weren't the same size, oops! Fixed it now) and changed out the idler pullies with OEM units while I was at it, truck idles and drives beautifully now so I participated in Bring Your Land Cruiser to Work Day today (mine is the 80 of course). More baselining to do but off to a fine start! Only a couple weeks in and time has been limited but loving it so far.
