I assume you meant T-stat, not T-case.
Did you replace the round rubber gasket that sits on top of the thermostat?
I had a problem with this o-ring as well. The new one I installed leaked and had to get another. Not sure if it was the incorrect diameter or there was a nick in it. These get hard and should not be reused as C-Dan is saying.

purchased a duralast vc120 evap canister for the 1fz-fe in the lx450 but hadn't installed it.
had big issue w tank pressure in sc400.
just like the situation with replacement canister for 1fz-fe the oem evap canister for the sc400 is no longer available.
turns out the vc120 canister is perfect fit for 1uz-fe in coupe.
thought fit might be sketchy but there is plenty of space after removing oem canister & bracket. hose from gas tank fit fine just needed short section adapter hose for purge line (will find clamps later)
couple dabs of black rtv to secure new canister and it's good to go.
tests positive.
(new duralast vc120 installed in pic; old clogged oem in foreground looks like has gray line coming out at top but that is cruise control cable under canister)
cheers
o yea - now i need to get another vc120 for the lx

I used a brand new OEM o-ring. As I said, I think the problem is with the square-ish paper gasket. That also was brand new but I messed up and didn’t remove the old crusty one that was stuck to the top of the t-stat housing so the new one got soaked with coolant because of the bad seal. Picking up new one tomorrow but will not be able to address until this weekend.

If the gasket was wet it's toast. You should've replaced it.

Transmission harness time…

Most of the plastic was either gone or so hard it would cut you, like 2 wires for the center diff light switch and that connector is broken also.

Took 30 minutes to extract, 30 minutes to clean now just needs a re—wrap and reinstall

Finally situated the new shop so I changed the oil, oil filter and fuel filter. I need to fix a leak in the washers and rotate tires still.

I had my serpentine belts, idler pulleys replaced at the Toyota dealer, come to find out one of the Pulleys, the one closest to AC Compressor was a manufacturer defect and was chattering. Dealer has ordered a new one and will replace it again. First for me.

ARB front bumper install. Also seem to have fixed the coolant leak from T-stat housing. Took it apart last night, cleaned everything up, new oem gasket + a little Indian Head shellac.

Last weekend I put on two Hayden 403 transmission coolers in series then headed out to San Diego to pick up a kei truck. On the way back to Utah the transmission pan temp was 150-180 F for most of the drive, in a few uphill sections it jumped up to 200 F and then cooled off.
