Fixed my throttle knob, and welded a resonator cause **** was the drone getting old.

My only regret is VHT silver header paint I used on the tailpipe haha, I should have just used it on the welds and called it good. Looks aluminum :/

Killed my front R&P in a ice hole.

finally fixed my CDL, when I went and tuned up my cruiser this year after it had been sitting neglected for way too long I found my CDL no longer engaged. Tried the shift to Low drive forward shift to High drive backwards and vice versus but no luck. After pulling the wrong sensors the first 2 times....:bang: I found the correct sensor and used the old 10lb hammer trick. Works like a charm now, as an added bonus my F/R lockers engaged first try after fixing the CDL 🙏!

I've done so much janky shyt on other vehicles, I want to attempt to do things "the right way" on my LC. Plus, the amount of time for me, spent trying to remove the rubber part, then sawzall the sleeve, was way more than it should be. I also didn't want to risk gouging the control arms doing that.

Just a personal preference on this one.
I just did mine the same way, zero drama used old bearing races to press them in and out, Calif. rig and the second set of bushing I have installed in these arms so they slipped in and out pretty easy.

What coating did you use for this? Eventually I'm going to pull my axles and refinish them.

Two part polyurethane enamel.

Cheers

Helped a friend pull this out of where it's been sitting for the last 8 years. Less than a mile from my house and i've never seen it
Triple locked with 200k on it, paid $500.
Rear tire held air but right when we rolled it the tire blew out. Luckily the spare from the 4runner fit and we got it on a flatbed.

Yeah I was surprised when he called me to help out. Wouldn't even tell me the address ahead of time lol
I was walking the dog a few weeks ago in the hood and a block from the house and I see this white 80 that I had not seen before.
Fast forward a few days I had to go to town and I see the 80 again driving down the hill 🧐 then on my way home I see it again right in front of me going up the hill.
So I decide to follow it. Turns out the guy just bought it, super clean white with a cloth interior😳 guy knows nothing about cruisers
It was sitting on the side of the house he was working on and the owner sold it to him for 2k
I offered him 4K on the spot. But it was a no go.
Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten so excited when I saw the cloth interior. 🤣😂🤪
Point is there’s still deals out there to be had

30th birthday for the cruiser. Normal stuff, out exploring trails and watching the sunrise on New Years day. Wrapped up a 400 mile road trip to see friends and family for the holidays. Currently at 335k miles, still running as smooth as ever and getting 13mpg.

New years resolution is to sort out some leaks in 2024. Non are critical at the moment but all are annoying and messy. Not super excited about any of these besides the power steering which is an easy one.

- Old hard power steering low pressure hose and possibly the reservoir
- Transmission output seal
- Upper oil pan
- Front differential

Possible 2024 upgrades:

- Ironman, ARB or Dobinson's bull bar, so many deer around here and it's only a matter of time before one finds me. On any given day there will be 10 of them in our yard.
- Sliders if I get more adventurous on some of the rocky trails around here.
- New tires (the KO2's from 2015 have 60k miles and are about done - I've been very impressed)
