Took a drive today. The cable slack was my issue. I'll have to order a new cable
Now after you posted that, my cruise control decided to flake out on me. Not sure the issue yet.

Getting crated up tomorrow and leaving next week.

Finally got the spare parts and mechanic replaced the cluster poop that was the back beaks. (way too advanced for me XD)
New discs, master cylinders at the back, oil seals, break pads, new back disc cover with proper fittings for oil lines.

And yes gentlemen, i am one of the few LC owners who has a working hand brake !!!
It feels so weird when the car doesn't role when I pull the hand brake up!

Not sure if this is related to your cruise control issue. I’ve been troubleshooting random no start issues, check engine P1780 code and no cruise control for awhile.

After trying 3 different starters, NSS module and new ground and power wires without success, I ended up bypassing the ignition switch and put in a starter solenoid and engine start button to temporarily get me by.

After almost 2 years of starting the FZJ80 with the push starter button I decided to troubleshoot the issue again this weekend. After pulling the wiring harness this is what I found to be the root cause.
The starter and another wire insulation was melted an shorted to each other, caused by the EGR pipe.

I soldered and insulated wires with marine grade heat shrink and double insulated with heat shield along with aligning the wires so the are not resting against the EGR pipe.

With this fix, the ignition switch and cruise control works as expected and no more P1780 code.

😬😬 is that the good interesting? or like most of the previous owners grand wisdom interesting ??

It's interesting in that my mom said if I didn't have anything nice to say
So add coil spacer on to do list then ... its actually coil spring buffers if i am not mistaken

Got the mounting bracket for the fill and drain hose fittings for my water tank mounted up today. The shore power plug for the NOCO charger is on there too. Lots of plumbing for the tank. Two sets of inflow and outflow hoses (one for the shower and filling it up and one for the heat exchanger) an air vent, a hole for the temperature sensors and a hatch in the top for access.

Getting ready to rattle can my hood this weekend. Any tips? Going with Automotive Specialists Base and 2K SprayMAX Clear.
Take it off and get it in a good upright position. The first time I left it on and you just can’t get a good enough angle to keep the paint wet as you’re working so the center of the hood comes out way too dry and like 40 grit sand paper. I had to block it back down with 800 and redo it.

Nice! But, just looking at those zip ties is making my hands bleed...

Do yourself a huge favor...;)

The zip ties are just holding it in place till I can get some stainless hose clamps on there. The pump in the housing isn’t wired up yet so I don’t have it locked down.

Besides, if I had decided to go the chicken**** route I’d have used baling wire.

This great! Does it take all the space ? I have the sub fuel tank and 2nd spare tire and was thinking of removing the tire extending the fuel tank and adding a water tank as well.
