Finally got her out of the garage and went for a ride with new shocks and wheel spacers. Feeling a slight wobble at 40mph ill try and rotate tires or retorq the spacers. Hope it goes away. Yah i got hub centric spacers.

Busy weekend and fulfilling weekend, finished the radiator/coolant updatez new radiator, HCV, PHH, FHH plug, hoses, flushed the block (currently have distilled water and a cleaner in it), transmission drain and fill, replaced oil and filter, Thermostat and bypass, oil sensor gasket, all ext LED lights and new Flasher. And to make me smile I deleted the roof rack and wind deflector, and last but not least, a much needed bath.
@Feldrian I'm thinking that I might just try to fabricate some spacers on the frame side. Based on the multitude of posts on the subject, around 3/16" will get me in the range where I can still have adjustments on the axle side if needed.
It sounds like I got pretty lucky because I was able to bleed the entire system (including LSPV) and have a nice, firm pedal. I am curious how the braking will feel after the LSPV is adjusted properly.

Pointed the cruiser south for a camping trip and drove until I came to a canyon I could not cross...
A major part of why I enjoy camping is cooking delicious meat on an open campfire.

Took the fam down to the river
Got a lot done on the bikes and stuff this weekend. Tried moving forward on the Land Cruiser and ended getting some forward progress, but also some backward progress. Working on fender flare gaskets. We won't spend a lot of time talking about how I installed a few gaskets the wrong way around and now have to order some more. But we'll talk about this.
Pulling the last and final fender flare, front drivers side, I get the four nuts and two bolts off and give a good tug to free the plastic connector and it pops loose and I see this.
Let's see if we can count and figure out what's wrong here...
Yup, five threaded pins, not the four that are supposed to be there. Oh, and look, almost every other one was broken in the past, with some questionable repair work.
Pretty sure it wasn't the previous owner as I know him and he's a super meticulous certified mechanic who gave me the FSM with the truck that I know he used. I do know this truck saw a paint shop in the past because it was keyed pretty badly. Wonder if they had someone new try to just pop off the fender flare and botched it up. I'm repairing the newly broken one and will make some progress, but I definitely was shouting some bad words outside this afternoon.

I got a few things finished up this week. Started with a Bowfin rack. This thing is great. I really like the profile.
Then I ran the SwithPros wiring behind the dash and finished wiring up the LP6s on the front bumper. These things look and perform great. I really like the backlight feature for DRL. Thanks to @NLXTACY for the SwitchPros mount!

As long as your center differential is locked, then yes, you can run without the front driveshaft.
I only have front and rear diff lock settings, and neither of them engage

Do a search to find out how to engage your center diff lock (add CDL switch, or put truck in low range then pull CDL fuse...) There is tons of info on here about it. You shouldn't need a thread about it as there are likely dozens already.
installed LCPhil's sway disconnects friday and went up to iron range with a few friends to run some harder trails. Well it dropped 5" of fresh snow so our spring wheeling turned to winter wheeling. Front and rear bumper got banged, and sliders lost a bit of weigh from the new set of gouges.
Those pillowy snow seems so soft, like marshmallows. Until you land on them.

we were traversing the trail at bottom of the hill and we were debating if we need to turn around since none of the climbs back to main trail access was doable with the snow conditions. we decided to push thru since the trail we went thru got packed already. i had to winch out several times as the sidehills slid my truck down the ditch so going back the same way wasn't a good option either. Fortunately close to end of the trail, we found this section. It's a good climb but it's a clear path to our freedom so went for it.
I didn't test the sway disconnects, didn't want to go under with all the snow and crap. But what an epic day it was!

I have to say, you probably get the best use from your 80 than anyone here. I hope I can get back to a point where I can get back out in mine more often and enjoy it 1/2 as much as you do... Long overdue.
took me more than a weekend, but finally finished this weekend 2nd row lx450 seats with armrests into my fj80, i reupholstered to try and match the front better.
Took Ginger out to test drive the new 4.88s and 37s.
