. . . really busy not catching any fish . . .

I have always been under the impression that the foremost objective of ice fishing was to get away from the wife :hillbilly:

With a secondary objective of securing a socially acceptable means of consuming massive amounts of hard liquor in public B-)

Sort of mandatory when it comes to maintaining one's circulation while exposed to the elements out on the lake lol.

Ahhhh

Food was excellent ;) THank you Russ!

Much love for oysters. Looks like a great trip and great food.

I fell in love with oysters as a kid, probably about the age of 9 or so. We had a family friend that was from Connecticut. He had a farm relatively close to ours here in central Kentucky. He would visit his family back up in Connecticut and bring back fresh seafood. The two I remember the most were the fresh swordfish steaks and the barrels of fresh and live oysters. Pop them open add hot sauce and slide em down. So good.

Nankang Mudstars in 285/75/16. Taiwanese brand and is an exact copy of the buckshot mudders.
A tad undersized too haha.

Sounds just like the mud dawgs then! My 35x12.5 barely measured 33 :/

Drilled and plugged the flare holes 5 yrs after removal for paint :D
Tried to find the duplicolor referenced by rjinga earlier in this thread with no luck but found bgm0536 gunmetal metallic was a close match to 1a6 moonglow pearl.

What did you use to plug those holes. It actually looks pretty sharp. Almost like rivets.

Just some 5/8 push in plugs available at lowes or depot. Sorry, but I've tossed the bags already. I didn't realize the domed top would be as noticeable as it is but I kinda dug the look too minus the few odd balls. At least they would be the easy ones to weld up if one wanted to line over the plugs for the bushwhacker flareless look lol

Went to Squamish on Sunday for some meetings then swapped in my Depo housings with Phillips bulbs!

Check out the difference in H4's as they are the same wattage but the right is Osram and the left is Phillips!

Replaced the valve cover gasket, throttle body gasket, throttle cable and the plug tube seals. Didn't look bad underneath for 300 thousand miles.

^^^^^WOW the internals look brand new!!! 300k. Can't believe that. Sweet!

Yeah I was surprised myself!

Noob question: Why the throttle body gasket? Planning on doing the rest of your list in March/April. Thanks.

Because I had to remove it on order to get the valve cover off. So I always replace gaskets if I remove them.

Valve cover gasket

How many hours to replace the valve cover gasket and clean the throttle body ect..?
Mine is leaking a bit of oil past the valne cover gasket I think and pondering this job.

Only about 2 hours or so. It's a pretty straight forward procedure. Not bad at all

I bought a pair of projector headlights for our 80 as the standard head lights are as useful as a chocolate fire guard ...

What is the mount bolted beside your winch for? I don't think I've seen that before.

it's an adjustable drop plate for launching the boat. ... so much easier to drive forward with the boat on the front tow hitch.
