Finally got RCV axles installed all the way round, with Aisin locking hubs, transfer case is totally rebuilt all new bearings races actuator motor, hoping it isnt 20 degrees tomorrow so I can swap out TC and hit the highway. 300M axles are serious for anyone pondering. Just wish RCV would supply the C Clips needed for rears, and maybe make the C Clip slot a little wider. Nothing a file couldnt handle but stilll. Oh and Finally reinstalled NEW Red Winch, BUT it now requires an air toggle for free spool. You boys have sen me jump too quick a lot Well if I could do it over. I would have got the warn 70th anniversary over the RED WINCH. The RED Winch is amazing, its beautiful and stupid strong. BUT it has at least 3 extra points of failure that ANY winch does not. it requires air to operate, has way more wiring. so Im making sure alll the wiring, airlines etc are bullet proof. Not that I ever need to winch but still. View attachment 2132128View attachment 2132129View attachment 2132137
Can you give a little more detail on the rear RCV 's did you add more dowel pins ? if so did you drill them your self/ send them out ? So it's a two peace axle / drive flange do the c clips from the front axle work ? or where did you source them. And lastly are those ARP flange bolts with cone washers ? if you have any more pictures of the install to share would be nice.
Thanks Brosky

It appears it was a good launching dune this year. How many teeth did you break?
So does anyone agree that its time for @brosky to cange his avatar to his green rig from a pic of a f150?
Gary the landing was so smooth I did not think I even got air. That avatar is a full size E150 Van 4x4 on tons locked full built out Expo Reg that I built my self and I still miss it. I think it stays

s RCV supplies. They do not supply birf clips for rear for whatever reason. and yes ARP flanges bolts all around solved my cone washer loosening all the time issue.

Replaced the drivers side window motor and run. Window is so much faster in the cold. As so I finished and was going to back out the garage the key won’t turn the ignition. Too worn. Time to get a dealer VIN cut key.

I was comparing them to most bumpers made out of 10 gauge steel or 1/4 aluminum.

This truck isn’t going to win any beauty pageant contest. It’s on the road most of it’s life.
Most of the after market Bumpers are not made of 10 Gauge. Take this one its made of 1/4 plate steel in the center section and the wings are 3/16 plate steel. The design, interior gussets & high quality Fabrication ensure that this is a super strong Bumper. In fact it has taken many hard hits that I thought for sure that the bumper & body would be damaged only to get out and see zero damage.

I think its great that you made your own Bumpers and I am sure the price point was much better. Its just a big claim to say that they are stronger then most. Just Sayin ;)

Is there a write-up or video for the motor? I replaced my window run last week, but didn't do the motor. FSM really didn't have anything to say on the topic, and I'm not sure if it's just obvious once you start taking things apart.

I would say it is obvious once you start. If you work on your own truck that is...

Easy peasy.

Get the motor on Amazon and all plug and play.

LOL.

Out of curiousity, what's the next step there? I was showing my daughter this pic and we figure you'd tip it back over, check/fill fluids then drive on and check for any mechanical issues?
After all the group photo ops, we winched it back over, checked and topped up fluids, cleaned broken glass out of drivers seat, then continued back down the trail. Drove it three hours back to colorado, commenced some 2x4 body work on the doors, found another fj60 for a couple grand and moved all the suspension to the new one. Only thing hurt was my pride of which a few beers took care of the pain.

Replaced all the spark plugs. Both the hoses in the pvc valve kit from wits end. Running pretty good now. But its throwing a CEL.

Wheeled some muddy tracks in the Mammut Park here in germany. Decided that I had to follow the 2 short Lada Niva's. Got stuck in a mud hole. Flooded the truck up to the seats. Killed the alternator. Flooded all light housings.
Drove back 180mls without any working electrics.
God bless that rediculous slow 1hz engine that needs nothing except diesel and oil. Will post more pictures as soon as I get them as well a short video of the trails.

Just ordering parts and trying decide between OEM spark plug wires or NGK wires. OEM go for $150 vs NGK at $56 and I'm having a hard time justifying OEM with that price difference.

Installed a cheapie WiFi backup camera, we’ll see how it works out...
