Ok it was a lot of weekends ago but I just now ready to show off the Turbo J-Pipe prototype since the production pieces are nearing completion.

Took out my blue fan clutch. Drained it out, replaced with 1500cst oil. Did the landtank mod. After the fan clutch was back in noticed what I think is my FHH going bad into the firewall. Oh joy

would it work with stock battery tray? That's nice to have because it blocks off heat from the engine bay.

Took me and 2 friends to a 20 mile ride through Santa Cruz followed by some incredible beers at the local breweries...
love riding up in SC. The trails are amazing. I plan on going back soon.

Took the family all over CO for two weeks -- and to make sure wife is happy with all that camping and trail driving, I take her to Telluride. Here's me asking her if she approves of the plan.

There is bare metal through the bolt and mount point. I can add a point to add a wire.
Installed 30mm spring spacers, new OE Tokico shocks and added rear air bags for when loaded down.
My goal with this truck is to stay within an inch or so of stock height and to move to 285s long-term. I don't plan to add much permanent weight to the truck long term. The OE springs still felt good to me though the shocks (monroe gas-matic) were inadequate, especially when loaded, and caused swaying etc. I assume the springs had sagged some but they didn't/don't seem as saggy as what I've seen on some 80s. The hub center to flare measurements were right at 21" all around before I added the spacers. I considered adding a new springs but was worried about throwing things off too much and then dealing with spring sagging/settling over the next few years etc. The rear air bags will allow carrying a motorcyle on the back, and occasional load carrying, etc.
Ride quality is greatly improved with the new Tokico shocks and the truck has a firmer, more solid feel without the swaying it had before while also not riding harsh. The 30mm lift is subtle but makes the truck look refreshed vs a bit saggy, in my eyes, and should match up with the 285s nicely. Currently sitting on 275/70/16s.

Not the most accurately staged/angled before and after photos, but posts are always best with photos. The "after" pictures below are with minimal (2-3 psi) pressure in the air bags.

Took Monday off and headed to the hills to catch the Perseid meteor shower. A lot of smoke in the air, wasn't a great show, but still nice to get away and awesome passing the piles and piles of traffic headed back on a Sunday.
love the surf rods positioned like that, and I almost mounted a holder. Nice tip, tight lines.
