I think anonymity online is a falsehood. When you're selling your $2000 $hitbox tercel on craigslist with your email, phone number, and address but cover your plate with your finger, i think the term idiot fits. Everyone's info is out there, if you have any form of credit it's likely its been leaked and/or hacked in the past few years.

I promise if I ever sell my $2000 s*** box Tercel I won’t cover the license plate
LOL

A/c tensioner pulley bearing grenaded itself and I had to use a sawzall to cut it off, so grabbed a vbelt pulley and bolt from tractor supply and we're back in business.

Warning, a lot of random crap done to 80.
Owning a 80 for almost 2 decades now, there has been lots of areas that needed attention and some love. Almost all is cosmetic crap as a try and keep all mechanical things at tip top shape, on all my rigs. So, no writeup, just a bunch of random pics..
Disassembled and rebuilt my 18 yerar old Hi Lift jack and slapped on some new paint on it, lubed it up with some PB blast white lithium oil. Then gave it a present, hi lift cover.. Having some left over paint, I resprayed my Maxx Axe and made mounting brackets for it that attach to high lift jack using some quick fist clamps.. 15 years ago I had purchased an African Outback Drawer System from Slee, but sold them to a fellow mud memeber around 5 years ago..That was a mistake, so I decided to build me a single drawer with a ARB Fridge mount and an extra compartment.. Here are pics of items I mentioned :

I then took apart the whole dash to clean up a whole bunch of Mickey Mouse wiring I had done when I first got my rig and installed new bulbs for all my interior dash light switches.. Installed a voltameter/12v dual usb outlet on my center console next to transfer case shifter.... Then made a mount for a 5 lb propane tank and shovel/rotopax fuel canisters (have not purchased them yet). I used quick fist rubber clamps for the shovel mount and a power tank propane mount for tank. I attached them to a custom fabbed receiver hitch that I made into the center of my tire mount on my single swing out bumper.

Estimated time to replace the 4 main lamps?

Took me about an hour. I could do it in 30 minutes now that I know how the gauge cluster is set up, where the lights are and that you don't need to remove the cluster completely from the dash if you only need/want to replace the four main back-lighting bulbs.

You can literally reach behind the gauge cluster and 'feel' the bulb bases. You need only turn them a small amount less than a 1/4 turn and then just pull them straight out. You can leave all the harnesses connected and with your running lights turned on....test the LED's as you put them back in. IF they don't work (because of being polarity sensitive) just remove the bulb base, plug the LED back in 180° from before and it should light up when you reinstall it.

Start by removing the lower dash cover (below the steering wheel), 4 screws. then pop the next cover off (the one just above the steering wheel (no screws), rotate it to your left up and over the steering wheel and let it sit between the open door and A pillar (you don't have to completely remove it or detach the harnesses).

Next is the gauge cluster, 4 screws. The cluster has 4 white mounting tabs, that is where each screw will be.

Then you'll need to carefully wiggle the entire gauge cluster forward. You do not need (or want) to remove the clear plastic front. I had to push up slightly on my dash board to clear the top of the gauge cluster, but once that was cleared it moves forward (steering wheel tilted completely down). At that point you can also shift it to the left or right if needed, but I was able to reach behind it fine with it centered on top of the steering wheel clamshell. I'm 6'-5"....270 lbs. and have big forearms, but had no trouble just sitting in the drivers seat and reaching around it.

Study the photo below and familiarize yourself with the bulb locations and you should have no problem. The schematic (not mine, borrowed) is for a 93 but the main backing lights look to be the same on all year models.

I took the long way to the cabin on some NH Class 6 roads. My wife even had a good time. (and of course my 3 year old son did too)

This was probably the only photo worthy spot.

Replaced the U-Joints on my rear DS. I noticed that slip yoke is orientated different compared to the front. I never really thought about it before. Should the slip yoke be on the transfer end or diff end or does it even matter?

Try looking up someone by their license plate. Pretty tough to do unless you're LEO.
license plate reading cameras, software, and registration info is available. its kind of like bank account info, people think it is protected, but it is not. just pay a fee and have a reason, like financial institutions , asset recovery industry, advertising industry, etc, etc. data brokers sell it all the time. put a couple data sets together and you get a good picture, put together 10 and they can figure out what you are going to have for breakfast tomorrow. :) don't even shred my papers anymore- it does not matter - been party to at least 4 known data breaches.

Back to 80's - fixed my fuel lines from rubbing on each other, and replaced all the hose clamps to my rear heater, was able to brush the old ones off they were so gone.

A guy hit me in traffic and I tried to find the owner with his plate number. Only way to do it was getting a cop to follow through on the hit and run which they did. Not trying to be a jerk, but it you've been part of four data breaches, you're doing something more that putting a pic of your plate number on a pic on the webs. Anyways, last weekends annual drop in and hot soak camping trip.
