Im going to do my best to make it up to Drummond next summer. It looks like everything a land cruiser could want!
Once again, we weren't there long enough to get all the trails in. There are lots of trails and an off road park we didn't see. We went to the North end of the island to see the protected Great Lakes Alvar ecosystem. It was cool and the trails there were easy but big water holes with rock bottoms that were fun.

Definitely going back, again.

Replaced the remanufactured starter with another reman. Old one looked like it had been in there for awhile and I was getting an intermittent click click start even after rebuilding the solenoid so...

Also convinced the wife she needed KO2s for her Outback. :)

I love how it looks with the more aggressive tire and I'll feel more confident taking off road when needed.

So my driver seat belt seized up on my 92. I had a spare but both front belts were looking pretty shabby and weren't retracting the best. I took a flier on trying this company out. Hadn't seen anyone that had used them on here.

Holy crap! Worth the $75! It's like brand new! I'm sending my passenger spare off Monday and my spare set for my 93. The color is a spot on match and it retracts like butter!

They even stitched the original OEM safety tag back on so you can even tell that they have been redone.

Seat Belt Repair & Airbag Reset - Safety Restore

Use code MOVED for 15% off.

It took about 7-8 days total including shipping time. If you overnight it to them it would be quicker. I had a spare so wasn't in a hurry.

I found it harder than the PHH.
really? I did mine no prob the PHH on the other hand was a nightmare, strange isnt it.

Finished the power steering gear box rebuild. Last weekend we tore the teflon ring while sliding it back in and had to order a new kit just to get a new teflon one in there. At 400k miles it really was due for a rebuild. That and after the wheeling and traveling from weeks prior it was starting to leave a 3ft puddle overnight.

Also tore into the driver's side quarter panel to fix the water leak. Fairly certain most of the water was entering from the quarter panel belt molding that has a clip right above the jack. Ended up testing it when it was all back together and that's where the water was entering the most. It was also entering from the black thread ins for the gas cap surround screws. Just smeared some NP1 around both and the water has stopped entering!

I need to do my Power steering gearbox as well. What did you use to rebuild it, a kit?

Gates makes a kit, but we also used some oem parts. I believe there's a thread that has all of them listed. One oem part was the 10mm hex plug. That started stripping out even with applying heat. Ended up welding the hex into it and that did the trick.

I purchased the $75 belt replacement. The belt wouldn't retract. They replaced the belt and reset/cleaned the tensioner. It literally looks brand and functions like new.

Awesome! Think my belt is headed their way soon!

No problem. I really had no idea if it would turn out well. Figured I had wasted $75 on worse things...

I wish I had sent them all at the same time to save on shipping...

I know at least one of you were driving in the deep water floods of Texas

Just saw a white... great 80 series ... lifted ... roof rack... snorkel

Was on Fox News live broadcast foraging a water flooded road
