Is that Spring Creek?
Great pics. Looks like fun. Is that just north of Big Eric's bridge in the Huron Mts? I'm sure there is more than on spot like that, but I found one up there too.
So I swapped wheels with my FJ40.. what do you guys think? Stock or black?

That and the black ones are 17" so more tire options.. from what I understand.
Seriously? how much shorter?
One more vote for stockSo I swapped wheels with my FJ40.. what do you guys think? Stock or black?

Packed up my 80 with just about everything I own and moved to Bozeman MT. From Fort Collins my girlfriend and I took the scenic route through the Tetons and Yellowstone. Before we hit Jackson we stopped at some hot springs and found an awesome waterfall. The 80 had zero issues except for being thirsty like usual and it hit 290k. Great day
3 fives are good TREs ?/ I just put them in mine. Im going over my total front end too thanks to your post re checking torques for a long month tripStarted on a front end rebuild on the green 96. Should have been done a week ago but have been working on my daughter's bf's crappy Merc Sable. New struts all around. What a total POS machine and approach to building a car. Anyway, that's out of the way and the 80 is next up. We are leaving for Drummond Island in it in 3 days and my list of to-do's is HUGE. I have tried to adhere to the rule of not wrenching on the truck right before a trip but no choice now. I'll be taking lots of tools and checking torque on stuff, especially the steering knuckles!
