Still kickin'. I burn a quart of oil every 800 miles or so. AFAIK, original head gasket. If the HG goes, then engine will too. I am getting the itch to do a V8 swap...

How is she running at 270k? HG done yet? My 93 has 271k. PO had the HG done at dealership plus O2 sensors. She runs beautifully and 3000 miles into our first oil change dipstick is still full.

Death Valley weekend.

Dug out all four ABS sensors. Tested them. Cleaned them. I have ABS again.
Now pondering the sludge in my front knuckles. Also, FWIW. a 12mm ratchet wrench on the rears vastly improved this job.

Traversing North East Georgia in the GA Overland Trail. Great friends company and great veterans day weekend.

Opened my mail and found this. Looks like this one will take the cake for favorite printed shirt.

Also, thanks for the bumper sticker @NLXTACY

Haven't tried it on yet but it seems to be a quality shirt.

Awesome and thanks! I wore mine yesterday. When I went for lunch I guy came over and asked me about it and asked if there is one for a Rubicon. Hahahahahahaha!

Absolutely a brilliant idea for an enthusiast. I only imagine you'll get a lot more questions about it going forward. You'll have to hold out to the Rubicon guys... although, I bet you could retire comfortably off the number of shirts you'd sell to them. :hmm::princess:

A quart every 800 miles? Damn! I'm
3000 miles into this oil change and the stick
Still reads full. And those are some hard miles at
highway speed ascending the sierras a
few times. Ya gotta wonder.

The valve stem seals are shot, no question about it. Oil is cheap, so adding an extra quart every now and then is the simple approach :D

The Rubicon one would be simple:

1) Pick up Monster (Red Bull or any other energy drink is acceptable)
2) Adjust flat bill
3) Take to Heep dealer
4) Say brah 7 times
5) Drink another Monster
6) Adjust flat bill, again
7) Pick up from dealer
8) Order Smittybilt gear from big box 4wd store
9) Post on lame Heep forum about how bad ass your Heep is.

Got both my shirt, and poster. The poster was more than I expected. It's going to stand up to dirt and grime very well. Heavy duty plastic covered! Wife was all like "You bought more stuff?" Then I showed her the fantastic tee-shirt, and poster. When you get the 'Wife's Seal Of Approval" you know you did good.

Thanks @NLXTACY -- another fine 'Wit's End' product!

p.s. -- the sitcker was great bonus!

Enjoyed another glorious fall day in the Bighorns.

.......and then I scratched it.

Blind corner, suddenly ice, and away we went. 3-4 rolls and ~45ft later and there we sat.

Walked away with a minor headache. Seatbelts are a VERY good thing. That and these things being built like tanks saved my bacon for sure.:)

Will start another thread seeking advice as to where to go from here. Neither the liftgate nor the tailgate have a scratch on 'em so maybe we'll start there.;)

Those shirts are really cool. Any chance of getting them made with the diagram on the front?
