Removed the front door panels and greased the window linkage.

Took it to camp Friday, forecast was good no snow expected but Friday night got 3-4" dammit! I don't drive it in winter so Saturday drove it home, parked it in my shop then got my Tundra ready to head back to camp. Gave the cruiser a good hose down and wash and fortunately they hadn't salted the roads so it's good. She's parked for the winter now, it'll be 5-6 months before I can drive it again.

Rust sucks, but 62's and alpine snow go together like reindeer and Santa.

Installed new CSF rad, hoses and thermostat after getting bunch of stuff powder coated. Buttoned up refinished oil pan — so far no leaks and praying it stays that way. Many, many thanks to @OSS and @Poser and others here for their insight and experience - couldn't have done it with you documenting the proper steps.

winter tires on 4plus swing arm cleaned and oiled so it swings easily again and i replaced my drivers lower door hinge. what a pain. ill go so far as to say it’s impossible as a one person job. thankfully i have a loving wife who i was able to pull out of bed in her pjs while watching a movie to come hold the door long enough for me to line up a bolt!! the door shuts nicely now though!! now it’ll be time for a bath soon. we’re going to get 5 inches of snow tomorrow though so the roads will be mucky for a few days i think

Yep! Beautiful truck you have there! Hit us up over in the clubhouse section (Tornado Alley Cruisers).

Matt, I went to your website but couldn't find these. Really I think I just need the wire w/green plug and heat sleeve. Like the first picture in your post above. I guess my actual thermo switch is good. Assume this is for the cooling fan for the carb. Mine is toast and I could use one. I'm guessing this will be a hot seller (no pun intended) Could you post a link me to the page if they are available?

I was driving through a rough neighborhood on the South end of Springfield MA today. Two meaty looking guys pull up next to me at a light and start beeping. I rolled down my window…..they were smiling, taking pictures and yelled “hey, you look like Pablo Escobar in that vehicle”. Gave them a thumbs up.
Got back to my house to do a bit of research. Sure enough, Escobar drove an 045 colored FJ62 too! Here is a photo of his car collection/museum down in Columbia.

Swapped axles and cleaned up the rear leaf springs (you can see in first pic what they looked like before!)

Couple of crappy little dollies makes the axle swap a one-person job.

After a coat of POR-15 and a couple coats of Rustoleum:

Packed all my things into the 60 this weekend and drove it from Boulder Colorado to Orlando Florida. I have a it of a coolant leak and about two quarts of oil went somewhere, but that baby drove me all the way along with everything loading it down. It wasn’t fun in the wind but we made it.
