I haven't had Grace on a trail in a while and I needed some "therapy". My son and I did a section of Fins'n'Things.

He gave me these cool air down nozzles that you attach to each wheel. When the first one gets to the desired pressure, you just walk around removing them in order. Way more easy and quicker than the ARB tire deflater.

The trip went smoothly considering I hadn't been out here in months. Lots of SxS's but they were all polite and we had the trail to ourselves for the most part. Here's a poser shot and some scenery.

This is a "must do" trail if you visit Moab. Lots of thrills but gentle on machines, no need for lockers.

I've always loved wheeling this 60. The OME springs made the biggest difference. Then the rear bumper and a few years later the desmog/sniper/ header which really changed the attitude or this beast, but it's still a Land Cruiser. Sure could use a few expensive upgrades but I'm not missing out. No regrets 😜

How many watts are yours rated at? Mine are borderline illegal (130w) but still have the DOT stamp on them.🤣
To be honest I don’t know, they’re the City Racer lights and there isn’t a wattage rating or lumen rating. They’re about as bright as the diode dynamics I had on my Tacoma but the throw isn’t even close to as good.

Completed the dual battery setup. I used the Painless system. I added a digital volt meter to provide a more accurate readout than the stock meter. I ran into a hiccup when I installed the system. Had I followed the instructions provide everything would have worked without a problem. A buddy of mine, Richard KR4OS, helped me locate the problem. I made a mistake in wiring the meter. I wanted the switch, provided in the kit, to show the voltage of the main battery and the auxiliary battery by "flipping" the switch between the two. I made a simple wiring mistake which allowed power to flow through one of the LED diodes when the system should have been powered off. Everything worked as it should when I removed a jumper.

Making slow progress on the c channels. This job would actually be satisfying if it wasnt such a bear. The rivets won't budge so I'm having to cut it into pieces with the grinder.

I recognize a few parts on that rig. Looks good!

Nice! We're bringing the 62 down to Moab this weekend. Haven't quite decided what trails we're running yet. What brand were those little deflators? I've seen them around before, and thought they sounded pretty cool!

What i did to my 60 this weekend:

6 weeks from putting the 5.3 in between the frame rails, it fired up first key turn. What an amazing feeling! Pulled the 2f 8 weeks ago, so far im in it 8 weeks overall total. First ever motor swap ever. All done in my driveway haha Gotta say, its going great! Not too shabby for a lame corporate accountant hah
