Caulked the side of the cowl. No more water inside when it rains :). Also, since I had to remove the front seats to pull the carpet back so it can dry, I decided to scrub them and rinse them with the power washer.

Jealous!
Last week I removed the FJ62 front bumper which I had temporarily installed on my '86 FJ60 before heading up to the 2018 Solid Axle Summit in Ouray. The bumper came from my '89 FJ62 donor vehicle and is going to a new home in Texas @Michael Hanson. I had the replacement Warn winch bumper parts powder coated earlier this summer @89BIGBLUE and was waiting on the last of the new stainless steel hardware to show up in yesterday's mail.

If the rain stops for a while I'll install the new bumper today, before the first snow of the season starts to accumulate tonight.

While waiting for the hardware my wife and I headed up to the mountains above town to soak in some nature.

The San Miguel Mountains, with the Sandia Mountains above Albuquerque in the far right distance.

Pajarito Mountain, home to the local ski area.

Redondo Peak, at 11,254 feet, the highest point in the NPS Valles Caldera National Preserve.

The Valle Grande, largest of the valles in the Preserve, with Chicoma Peak in the background. Chicoma Peak, at 11,561 feet, is the highest point in the Jemez Mountains.

Next time we head up into the mountains it'll be in the '86 FJ60 :).

Got a chance to get a few shots away from the Jeep herd. And yes we got him out with just a little help from a winch. PS, No Jeeps were used in the process;).

Drove the 62 to Vegas for a long weekend with new 40G fuel tank. Good shakedown cruise can go just about 500miles on a tank in the hills and maybe 550 on the flat. Stopped at Nothing for lunch. Oh, and hit a small milestone during the trip.

Thats awesome Todd. And really glad you pulled over to take that shot. Much safer that way. And like the low miles :)

WWWWHHHHHHHAAAAATTTTTT? what's up with the 6500 miles Jimmy?
No no no...that’s a clone. Zeroed out the miles when I put all new over the counter parts in it. Does not compare to a pristine original never apart low mileage truck like yours.

I too have fond memories of the H42 whine. :)
